It's back! Previous FP deal at same price

https://www.amazon.com/Nextbit-Ro...01D3Q8EGY/

Nextbit has confirmed that it will receive the 7.0 update in 4Q 2016.

I purchased one when it was on sale the last time, and I've really been enjoying the phone, so feel free to ask any questions.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

It's not a repost the previous post was from 08/18/16 and it expired. This is a return of that $199 discount price. I think it does not deserve the thumbs down. I can tell you based on the previous one. I think this will hit FP. Spec wise its a decent phone. I just can't jump because wife cares about camera. But it has the storage and processor requirements. I hear it runs hot. My G Flex2 runs really warm on games.

This has got to be the stupidest premise for a phone ever. Harness the power of the cloud for storage? What a joke, could have just added a micro sd card slot. And Google photos provides unlimited free cloud storage for photos already. Wtf is the point of this phone then?

Specs are decent for the price and the physical design looks unique, but the "cloud" stupidity makes this phone kind of a brick.

I see $229.83. Is there a code to get the $199 price?

I wanted to root for this phone when it was announced but the premise and design of the phone just sucks. There are better options for the money.

I like that root is covered by warantee, the front facing speakers designed by ex-HTC employees is a boost. The 808 chip is pretty spectacular being an A57 rather then just A53 like the 820... not sure what that means but I like 'waxing' on specs if you know what I mean *lol* CM (Cyanogen) basically (unofficially) partners with Nextbit so there is custom roms for it it's pretty handy. *but I've never bothered rooting myself so can't give impressions. I recently bought this phone, have a problem with ATT network speeds (pretty typical since it's a startup lvl phone, and well covered on the forums so I'm not concerned) so I'm saying it might take a LITTLE troubleshooting (if your unlucky) but it works with any GSN network no problem. Reports of the speakers developing a 'popping' sound when listening to youtube videos has also happened to me (oddly after watching a video about it... or maybe I didn't notice it before) it's a minor, known issue, software related as it cropped up with Marshmallow update and only happens on certain streams (I'd had both music and youtube get crackly on me... I don't hear it through the speakers only noticable over headphones... but the video i link to said his was BAD) so confidant it'll be fixed. Oh! and one intence puzzle gaming session (where I was plugged in so it was hot- not usually a problem) just recently my touchscreen function quit Frown until I exited my game and returned. Again no problems the first few weeks but now am recieving signs unfortunately. Anyway it's a great buy if this isn't to be your daily driver. Even so it's doable for 199 but just sayin... either expect some troubleshooting so if your patient it'll run like a champ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JE-eZE8x1ds (it's not as bad on my device I don't know if he's exaggerating the issue or his device was worse)

Except it was discussed in a previous post today, about the Alcatel. Same with the Blu phone they made front page. It was discussed and linked.
