Most Citibank (Citi) credit cards give you +2 years warranty on electronics so the Applecare warranty doesn't have additional value if purchased with a Citi card.

Citibank is not AppleCare+

There is something to be said for that vs the regular CC warranty that has a different process.

Certainly helps if you decide to sell it in the next 3 years.

I'd say pass on this without 8GB of memory... remember community, these laptops are not upgradeable on the memory so you have to buy the configuration you want.

$900 for an outdated laptop, with 4GB and 900p screen? The newer 8GB updated model has been on here for $200 cheaper than this "deal".

Citibanks's coverage is a good program, and worth mentioning, but it's nowhere near as user-friendly as Applecare. Also, it's only 2 years. Applecare is 3 (1 year of standard warranty + 2 years of Applecare). And it includes tech support. I doubt Citibank does.

Definitely, I have an Early 2014 with 4GB and an I5 and it's already slow. The hard drive is only like 40% full, too. It's only used for office work.
