From what I heard the HD 620 is roughly 20-30% faster than its predecessor the HD 520. Doesn't make it a gaming GPU by any standard but that you should be able to play most games on low settings (lower resolution as well).

-New i7 Kaby Lake
-1080 Touchscreen IPS
-DDR4
-256GB SSD

650 dollars... This is a pretty good deal. The only thing this doesn't have is a dedicated GPU but I'm not using this for gaming so it doesn't matter to me.

Horrible processor, apparently. Gets beaten by some 4th generation i3's.

Also, no dedicated GPU.

This CPU is basically a refresh of i7-6500U but around 15% or so faster. CPU Monkey is the last place I would use to compare CPU speeds.

Trust me when I say the i7 7500U is the fastest mobile consumer line CPU outside of the HQ lineup.

Why should I trust you? Can you provide a source for reference?

The article focuses too much on clock rate, which isn't really relevant when comparing processors from different generations.

I still need a dedicated GPU and a HDD/SSD combo. Maybe if they removed the relatively useless touchscreen they could have included a 960M.

The only reason why it focuses on the clock rate is due to the fact this chip is essentially the same one from last year but with improvements.

Same 14nm fab process, uses the same socket, etc... so in this case it is entirely appropriate to compare clock rate of previous Gen i7 6500.

If you want a dedicated GPU, you will need to look at Skylake; right now I haven't seen any dedicated GPU + Kaby Lake solutions but that will soon change.

It does not seem to have to RJ45/Ethernet port. Otherwise, it is solid.
