Thinking about getting one. Anyone has experience with this?

Since Breitling Navi Timer is out of my price range, this seems to be the closest one.

This is a great value; not many automatic chronos under a grand. The movement in this watch is based on a ETA 7750, but with an 80 hour power reserve IIRC (operating at a lower frequency). Will it be COSC accuracy? Could, but it will generally be within 10 seconds/day. I think the H21 movement is generally well regarded.

Might have been $600 at some point, but I don't remember exactly.

Build quality will be good, but subjectively may not be as good as a navitimer or other automatic chronograph which cost 5 times as much.

Bezel and watch face is just a bit too busy for me to bite on. If this was the X-Wind I'd be all over it.

This is a really nice watch but very bulky. About Breitling size but even thicker. A good deal on the metal band version has been $700-750 at a few points during the past year. I tried a metal bracelet one but returned because of a major defect even though otherwise the build quality seemed really nice. The bottom end link was mounted very crooked and there was a big gap from the end link to the watch. Not something I have ever seen on any watch even cheap ones and completely unexpected. No idea how that would leave the factory.

i have the metal bracelet version. love it. wears small for a 42mm (if that's a concern for you.) took about a few weeks to adjust and now very very accurate. yes it's a thick time piece but most watches based on 7750 are. the metal band on mine is solid and good heft. this is now my daily watch.

For an automatic, Swiss chrono from a quality brand and a reputable seller, this is a really good deal. At 16mm, it's pretty thick. That's normal for an auto-chrono, just something to be aware of.

I'm not crazy about the style, but that's obviously individual preference. If you like it, go for it. I have a Hamilton Jazzmaster my wife bought me, and I love it. They make good stuff.

The H21 is a great movement too. The only thing better would be an El Primero by Zenith, but then you are well into 4 figures.

Is this the model that can communicate across space-time with the power of love?

You can get the model with stainless steel bracelet for about $200 more using coupon code WELCM2U. May not be slick, but FYI if interested...

What does this do aside from keeping time?

I don't see any indication that Ashford is an authorized retailer [hamiltonwatch.com] for Hamilton.

You won't have a warranty (very important for any auto watch) if they are not an authorized retailer.

This is still a decent deal, but I personally wouldn't buy another Hamilton auto off of warranty.

I got the same watch back in January, my first $300+ watch. The watch is very sexy, however, I am having a problem with being a little fast. After a month the watch would be few minutes ahead of the actual time. I talked to the rep, they recommended me to reset it which is leaving there for few days and I did that a few times but the problem is still there.

I requested an exchange on the item however, they did not send me a box for return. I am custom to it by now, and the watch is more of a fashion statement anyway. I think is a good watch and worth the money, I do get a good amount of compliments from it.

PS I am a pilot I have never used any of the functions on the watch, and the title of Aviation is what suckered me into buying it.
