Bought it last month from woot. Awesome machine. No issues as of yet. Clean windows 10 install. No bloatware. List price new for this laptop was 1500, not 2100 like woot states in the ad. That being said, a comparable machine spec wise is the dell xps 15 which goes for around 2200 new. Reviews I've read state this thing was a bargain at 1500. 850 was a no brainier for me since I was in the market for something powerful and portable. Not as light as some ultrabooks but definitely easy to carry around. Screen glare is the one caveat but otherwise it's ideal. I say pull the trigger.

agreed agreed agreed. Was thinking of getting an anti glare screen protector to see if that helps without ruining the color accuracy. great buy!

Refurbished.... ick. Never had luck with them. You never know how hard the previous owner used/abused it. Pass

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE DECENT LAPTOP FOR THIS PRICE! LMAO if this was apple it would be 3-4x as much!

two things tho, why can't laptops have thin bezels like smartphones/tablets? I wish laptop came in just flat 15inches with laser thin bezels. It would be the weight and size of a current 13inch.

You do realize that doesn't mean they were necessarily owned right? Refurbished were returned or not sold due to a defect, the defect was corrected but they can't sell as new at this point. I've sold and bought refurbished for over 20 years.

CPU is a couple generations old. Will this be outdated/slow soon?

Refurbished is always better than used ones. Even a used 4K 512ssd 960m would cost you same price.
The thing is warranty, 90 days warranty doesn't necessary provide anything. You have to be careful using this after 90 days. Will pass

Only concern I've seen with this are complaints about faulty batteries

This processor is still pretty good. Plus its a hq processor instead of the u series.

4th gen quad core i7 is faster than 6th gen dual core i7 (a lot of the deals posted here are for dual core). even the quad core 4th and 6th are comparable. biggest benefit of the newer gen is battery life
