still on the lookout for 10th anniversary ruination...
i'll be in the rehobeth area next week, so maybe i can find it there. At the end of a long day, there's really nothing more satisfying than knowing that there is yeast living in a bucket in your basement, farting out alcohol for you to drink.

It's the weekend and I'm recovered from last weekend's drinking. Bring on the beers!

I just tried my first "Two Hearted" thanks to a friendly shop owner. Given the hype I was a bit let down by it - to me it tasted a lot like a slighly more West Coast version of Smutty's Finestkind (with a bit less of an English yeast profile.)
I just bottled a Union Jack clone - the process was an unmitigated disaster, but I've learned a lesson about unattended racking (bad idea jeans) from this evening.

Haven't posted here in a while, this thread needs some more action.
![]() I was down in Philadelphia a few weeks back and got to sample some new brews. I actually picked up a bottle of Bells Two Hearted which I have in my fridge at home right now and had a few on draft as well. I really enjoy it, but then again I like Smutty IPA a lot also. No Pliny on draft anywhere while I was in town though according the Phillytapfinder. I did finally get a change to buy a bottle of Maine Beer Lunch IPA. Been looking for that one for quite a while now. It was very tasty, a little lighter and more floral then I expected but very good. But, I think it set me back about $8 for the bottle. ![]() Picked up a mix a six of new to me IPAs to try out. Yard's Brewing Co. IPA (local Philly brewery) not very good at all Philadelphia Brewing Co. Newbold IPA (local Philly brewery) better then Yard's but not great SlyFox Brewery IPA (PA brewery) had this one on draft and picked up a can as well. Very drinkable and pretty solid, but nothing spectacular. Mission Brewery IPA (Cali brewery) this IPA had good flavor but was unfiltered with lots of sediment, I prefer my IPAs to be filtered I guess. Crooked Tree IPA (Mich brewery) I liked this IPA a lot and would buy it again if I see it out my way in MA. Breckenridge Brewery 471 Small Batch IPA (CO brewery) I enjoyed this one quite a bit as well and would buy it again if I see it here in MA. Fegley's BrewWorks Hop'solutley IIIPA (PA brewery) I enjoyed this beer a lot, but it was definitely more of a sipper at 11.5%ABV. It was very well balanced for something that strong but not a beer you want to gulp down. Sox
