Heady Topper is soooooooooooooooo good. Too bad I have only had it once and can't find it easily in NY or NJ.

One of the best IPAs I have had in a long while. Damn good job.

I'm really enjoying UFO beer - nice wheat beer, kind of like a Blue Moon.

Speaking of BM, I saw that they're Oktoberfest version is out (Harvest Moon), but I didn't try it yet.

DFH Punkin - This time of year is kind of a dead zone for me re: seasonal releases - I hate "throw in the spice rack" beers and I don't care for brown ales at all, but this one is really well crafted. I don't think I'd buy a case of it, but this one was pretty good and didn't taste like a bunch of jack-o-lantern entrails. Not bad.

Harpoon White IPA - Supposedly very heavy on the Citra and Simcoe (expensive and hard to come by right now) which seems like kind of a waste since the Belgian yeast completely dominates. A good Belgian IPA overall.

Beginning Sunday, I'm going to be in Denver for 12 days. Is anyone here from that area and can suggest some good beer destinations? I'll be staying in the Embassy Suites in downtown.

Great Divide and Breck? You HAVE to at least go to Great Divide.

I just bottled my first completely original recipe pale ale. It used four different variety of hops. It tasted boring. Not good, not bad, but just like a very middle of the road American Pale Ale. I'll be burning the recipe, I think.

Great Divide sounds like a winner to me. If you have a car and are into non-IPA stuff you could take the drive up to New Belgium too.

The other night I tried Lagunitas' DayTime (session beer). It smelled to me exactly like Sucks smelled like (fantastic.) It was very thin (understandable for a low ABV beer) - pretty drinkable, but I'm not sure I'd be quick to buy again.

It could be a good beer to get someone into IPAs (fairly low (kinda sortof) IBUs for an IPA - kind of an IPA on training wheels.)

According to the guy at the local shop Sucks is still on target for Q3 year round. Can't wait.

Crooked Stave has a new barrel/tasting room. Persica(peach sour) is awesome.

I'll have to look that up. So far, I've been to Bridgeport, Chop House Brewery, Rock Bottom, and Falling Rock. Sometime this week, heading to Boulder to go to Avery.

Is anyone who lives in the D/FW area planning to go to Oktoberfest in Addison, TX this weekend?
