At the end of a long day, there's really nothing more satisfying than knowing that there is yeast living in a bucket in your basement, farting out alcohol for you to drink.

Pulled out a bottle of Double Crooked Tree that I kept in the basement for a year. That beer was fantastic when fresh and hid the 14% booze incredibly well. As expected it tasted like a barleywine (but good). It actually reminded me a bit of Bolt Cutter.

I had a couple sips of Mephistopheles beer last night that a friend ordered. Wow, that's so good. 16.8% ABV!
 I remember having a 4-oz sample of it at a beer fest at Flying Saucer ~2.5 years ago.
