Thread Details

I've given my opinion in many places about the beer's i've tasted. Might as well have a thread about it. Feel free to add.

Currently having a Shiner Blonde.

A bit too light for my tastes, but a good Spring/Summer lager. Light, crisp, not too hoppy. Kind of like a hefeweisen without all the yeast. I tasted a little lemon at the first taste. Prett good. On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give it a 7.

I found out there's yet another brewery in FW: The Collective Brewing Project (http://www.collectivebrew.com/).

I tried one of their Witbiers at Barcadia last night. I'll have to check out that brewery one of these days. So, there's Rahr & Sons, Martin House, Panther Island, and now CBP. nod Beer

Just found this thread, looks good!

Whole Foods had 25% off all beers on Black Friday. I went with a six-pack of North Coast Scrimshaw, which is a pilsner style beer from California. I'm just getting into craft beers, but I like this. Fairly light but good flavor.

I agree. The main thing is to prevent movement. Let alone the drop-kick test.

Over the weekend, I tried a new beer at my local BWW: Leinenkugel Snowdrift Vanilla Porter. It tastes great and not hoppy/bitter at all.

Shock Top Twisted Pretzel Wheat Beer [shocktopbeer.com] is a surprisingly good Beer! It tastes like pretzel and wheet beer, so if you're a fan of both, try this!

I haven't tried it as I wont bring myself to drink shock top, but sounds like it's just a Gose style beer.

Also, for those of you that, like me, went through the effort to find Bourbon County, they are offering refunds for the coffee and barleywine, due to off flavor profiles.
