Thread Details

I've given my opinion in many places about the beer's i've tasted. Might as well have a thread about it. Feel free to add.

Currently having a Shiner Blonde.

A bit too light for my tastes, but a good Spring/Summer lager. Light, crisp, not too hoppy. Kind of like a hefeweisen without all the yeast. I tasted a little lemon at the first taste. Prett good. On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give it a 7.

^ Nice review and pic. nod

I had a Revolver Sidewinder beer on draft from a relatively new bar in my area called Whiskey Garden. Nice summer, beer, not quite as enjoyable as Leinenkugel, but still pretty easy to drink. Beer

And speaking of LK, I didn't know their Summer Shandys are also available in a 16 oz can, I thought just 12 oz. That was pretty enjoyable to get a full pint of it since it wasn't on tap at WG.

Had the day off yesterday and finally got to take a trip out to Jack's Abby in Framingham. I have been a fan of their stuff for a few years now and wanted to check it out.

The brewery is undergoing a big expansion, but that is not yet finished. The taproom area was pretty small and unfortunately the tours are only on Saturdays. I was able to sample a about five beers while I was there and I picked up a t-shirt. Most of the offerings are things you can get on tap or in bottles around MA, but some stuff was limited to the brewery only. Mostly the Framinghammer porter series and a very tasty cask, triple dry hopped Hoponius Union with mangoes.

I really enjoyed the cask and also new Joint Custody pilsner which is a collaboration with Otter Creek. The Excess IPL is really good for my fellow hopheads too.

Epic bottle share from a few weeks ago up in mammoth.. Alot of brewers, brewmasters, and breweries owners bringing their best. This is probably only half the beer, a lot of bottles were out on the 2 decks.
