If this is a marriott points reward, 80k marriott points is 2 nights at a top tier hotel or3 nights at a budget hotel, I would say about $500 value.

Funny, I spent 40k points for each of two separate 5-night stays at a brand new $250/night Residence Inn, which means the 80k points I got for my Marriott credit card were worth $2500. Believe me, I'm not going to complain about that kind of sign up bonus.
