"Alienware @ 40% off" is Dell's standard sales pitch on the Outlet. Supposedly, it's 40% off the original, inflated, imaginary MSRP prices, which isn't necessarily a deal.

More Alienware 15 laptops were available for purchase with the i7-6700hq that were in the eight to nine hundred range. Just yesterday the cheapest one i saw on the site was $1200+ Thought it was a good deal so bit.

The Dell outlet is difficult to track deals through.

Its a complete fraud almost. One system with same specs will be selling at multiple price points up to cost of new. How does the process work it makes no sense.

I was able to score a deal and yes you will find deals but prices fluctuate and are unpredictable. You can score maxed out 15 R2 and 17 R3 units for $1200..

I scored the best deal ever probably the other day. I found this unit which was not even a refurb or scratch/dent. It was brand new- either overstock, return unopened, etc. Specs as follows:

15 R2
1TB drive
W10 Pro

Ok so that's nearly maxed except for the SSD.

Price: $1400.

That's with 1 year warranty and 1 year accidental protection. Used my credit card for bonus 2 years warranty.

That is a hit deal. Pricing the same system on the main page cost $2800 after discounts and promos.
