Taken from the BGR Website:

Amazon's Kindle Fire HD 6 might be the company's best tablet ever, all things considered. The device is extremely compact and portable for a tablet, yet the screen is larger than most smartphones and even phablets. It's the perfect size to use as an eBook reader or as a gaming device since it's quite powerful. And best of all, it's incredibly affordable. Of course, you can save even more money on the Fire HD 6 by picking up a certified refurbished model for just $56… but we've got an even better deal for you today.

BGR has a special coupon code valid from October 10 through to 11:59PM PDT on October 13th, and it drops the price of the Certified Refurbished Fire HD 6 Tablet to just $44.99. For those keeping score, that's the device's lowest price ever.

I dont think Fire 7" has an HD Display.

Also, the link you posted has used items...used FIRE tablets does not have any warranty, whereas Ceritifed Refurbished FIRE tablets have 1 year warranty.

Good luck with that warranty. Amazon is notorious for hassling consumers over warranties for their name-brand (in-house) products; they are pressed by their policies to try to resolve issues via software updates rather than to bring an item in for refurbishment or replacement.

I had a Fire Stick that would overheat and crash out of the box using their power supply in a setup approved by them. I spoke to a senior advisor (American) who called me 7 times over the course of 4 days to "help [me] troubleshoot it further" because he did not want to process an exchange. It was ludicrous; we went from "did you try to turn your TV on" to "here's a script and custom firmware our engineering team wrote; could you plug the stick into your computer and boot it into diagnostic mode, load the firmware and install it, then..."

They basically try to outsource labor to the consumer. I'm not a fan.
