Just for clarification, these are not 1.25 inch thick. They are 1 inch thick. The listing is wrong.

They are also soft, and made of Vietnamese Rubber Tree wood. Not Maple.

So, if you want a soft, thin, worktop, it is good. If you are expecting a thick, hard, maple worktop, then look elsewhere.

You can scan the previous thread for people's take on this:
Do not get to use as a Kitchen butcher block.

I got a pair to use as tops for end tables. Good quality for what they are- and for my purposes they worked out perfect.

It's confirmed rubberwood and isn't great with any kind of water or rinsing.

I'm using this as a piece of "sacrificial wood" on top of my regular butcher block workbench.

I use it so I don't mess up my real workbench. I figure for 20 bucks I'll just beat it up, and when it looks bad, I'll just toss it.

This item is really low quality, but for 20 bucks it fits many purposes. So as long as your expectations are set correctly, it might be a good deal. Just don't go expecting a hundred dollar Maple top you can use in your Kitchen for your expensive German knifes. This ain't that. And don't expect it to hold up to heavy, greasy, or wet automotive garage type use. Not that either.
