Furthermore, as a SYW member (free) you will get 10 dollars back in funny-money in addition to the base amount of 1 dollar for the tool itself.
They also have a coupon for 15 bucks funny-money back on a $75 purchase.
Therefore, my final price was 100 for the router, minus 25 bucks in funny-money back, minus 1 dollar funny-money from the base value, plus tax.
As for the product itself, it has quite a few nice features.
It is 2 HP which gives it enough juice to work on a table and do pretty much anything you need it to, as opposed to trim routers which struggle with some stuff.
It has both a 1/4th and 1/2 inch collets and comes with both, so you can use any sized bit...vs the 1/4 inch only trim routers. OR the ones that "support" 1/4 and 1/2 but you have to buy the adapter or extra collet separately.
It has a clear base so you can see what you are doing, unlike Bosch. No upsell like Dewalt to get a circular clear base.
Sealed motor keeps dust from ruining it especially when used under a table.
has soft-start to be newbie friendly.
has built in LEDs to help see easier.
Comes with 2 vacuum attachments to help reduce dust.
Clear chip guards so you dont get stuff blown in your face.
Competing kits are around 200 bucks for similar HP with plunge and fixed base, most missing at least 1 of the features above.
