5. GRAND PRIZE DRAWING – PRIZE – ODDS OF WINNING: On or about March 6, 2017, the Promotion Administrator will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period to award one (1) Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is a check in the amount of a percentage of the gold mined by the Gold Rush miners during Season 7, not to exceed $90,000. The actual value of Grand Prize will be based on the value of gold at the beginning of the filming of Gold Rush's Season 7, March 2016, and will be announced on air in the Gold Rush final episode on March 10, 2017 at the time of the Grand Prize winner announcement. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.



6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: On March 6, 2017, between 11:00 AM ET and 3:00 PM ET, the potential winner will be notified by telephone at the telephone number provided in the entry submission. The potential winner must be reached by phone when called, and must verbally confirm his/her eligibility and acceptance of the prize. No telephone messages will be left for potential winner, and the potential winner will only be telephoned one time for attempted prize notification. Notification attempts not satisfactorily completed within 3 minutes may be deemed as unsuccessful, and an alternate winner will be selected. The potential winner will also be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and (where legal) a publicity release, which must be returned within time period specified in notification letter or an alternate winner may be selected. If a potential winner is 18 or older, as is required for entry, but not of the age of majority in state of residence, prize will either be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian, or parent or legal guardian must ratify and sign any and all documents required of winner. No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution, in whole or in part, except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability or any other reason as solely determined by Sponsor, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded.

I truly hope someone with a DVR will DVR this show. This show is excruciatingly boring to watch. With a DVR, you can playback to see what is it they were looking for exactly.

Yup. They know that nobody answers the phone anymore. Most people who enter this giveaway aren't going to be waiting for that call b/c the chances of winning are so small. I hate it when companies do this crap.

According to a post on the Gold Rush Facebook page [facebook.com], this week they are going to show the gold total during the show that airs after Gold Rush, Treasure Quest: Snake Island. Set your DVRs accordingly (I'm going to record both shows to be safe).
