GameStop Gift Cards purchased via eBay were used; bought 65 days ago; how to proceed?
I am looking for some advice.
I bought $500 worth of GameStop gift cards on eBay from PayPal Digital Gifts on 8/8/2016.
I paid using a $500 eBay Gift Card.
This was right after GameStop stopped allowing customers to buy other gift cards (like eBay) using GameStop Gift Cards.
I was unaware of the change and figured I'd hold onto the Gift Cards (5 x $100) until the PlayStation VR set came out and apply them towards that preorder.
I went in on Friday to pick my PS VR up and use the gift cards and they were all showing "insufficient funds".
I shop this GameStop frequently and I am friendly with the employees. They called a corporate hotline and it showed that on September 16th someone bought $50 PSN cards, using these GameStop cards as payment.
I was told to contact eBay/PayPal.
I haven't done anything yet but wasn't sure how to proceed.
Unfortunately I bought these using a $500 eBay Gift Card (I was rolling gift cards during eBay bucks promotions before they killed it) so I don't have credit card protections.
It has been more then 60 days so I don't have eBay buyer protection.
Just trying to figure out if anyone else has been in this situation and had a successful outcome
