No. It's a SLOW (aka: trickle) charger. You might be able to start your car if leaving it on a battery for (and this is just my varied opinion) for 2-3 hours but as far as 'jumping it off' w/in a couple of minutes... this definitely won't work for that.

I've been using it for couple years. Works great.

FYI, wiring is reverse to what the Battery Tender accessories use if you're planning to use any of those. Easy fix.

Last time I used a cheapo battery charger I lost both of my motorcycle batteries. Costco has the Battery Tender Plus for $40 here. Half the cost of a new high quality AGM. Bought two of those instead.
