Survey Sub-Forum Feedback Thread

Thank you for opening up the Survey area.

A few comments -

• I like the idea of icons for payment type - but can see where it would be a problem for multiple options of payment.
• I like the idea of a list of companies that should never be posted - makes it easier for the new folks...and those who may not remember that kind of thing.
• I disagree about BzzAgent, etc not being included here - You have to do something (answer questions, write a review) to continue to get the products. It is not strictly free...which is part of why the surveys were moved out, right?

I had a hard time finding the one above searched freebies, searched surveys, then finally did a total search lo and behold it is in deal talk.... I rarely go to dealtalk

I agree with the idea about icons on payment types, GiftCards, Checks, Paypal, and maybe for the ones that offer multiple options do a Points icon? Since technically your getting points and can redeem for gift cards/checks/stuff/paypal. Make sense?

Also maybe post a sticky in the Freebies forum about the Survey forum?

Maybe make it Survey-Studies-Panels-Groups
That way all the stuff you have to be a part of goes here.

Having House Party, Bzz Agent, Allure Panel, Pssst Panel, Survey Spot, Yale Studies etc. all in one place and strictly Freebies (ie fill this form out get x) in the freebies section?

Just my 2 cents, I don't want to see the Survey forum become like magazines where there won't be posts for days.

I'd like to see the "unofficial" and the "official" removed from master threads' titles,
so that they just say the survey company name and any other pertinent info

Please remember that all dead/closed/expired offers go to Deal Talk. That is mainly why that forum was created.

When I click on the link for the survey I get the follow:

That is why that panel is in DT.

As I said before, we still have to work the bugs out. Mr SD & I mass moved all of the survey icons. But some panels and surveys were posted under different icons such as food, music, money, etc. So if you find any posts that you believe belong here, please Mod Alert them!

Ok, Im confused? So have we decided BzzAgent is a survey now?
They dont require you to report bzz, it is optional and the products they send are current most the time. They do have surveys, but you don't need to do them.
Im just curious as to what is going to be put in here now?

Also what about Beta testing, is that going to be over here too? I for one think it should.

I don't really care as to what is put over in this new sub-forum, as long as it's consistent and not sometimes similar things get different rules.

I received a number of MAs & PMs about this. At this time, I'm going to get more mod opinions & go from there. I personally think Bzz should be in this sub-forum, but I'm going to get other opinions.

I think this is a good place for Beta Testing. It's just like Product Testing (PT), right??


As I said before, we don't have anything written in B&W, what belongs here & what doesn't. And I don't mind the feedback if you think something does not belong here. But like Bzz, it's a toughie.

Just remember that this is still the Freebies forum. This area is just an individualized portion of the main forum.

Side Note to people who have suggested other sub-forums:
**Be aware that creating a sub forum can take a looong time. I've been working on try to start a Survey sub-forum for about 18+ months; getting Mr. SD's ok, legal funness associated with surveys, rules, etc. It's not as easy or fast as it appears.

Yea Beta Testing to me is pretty much like PT's. Like I mentioned before, it doesnt matter much to me as long as its consistent across the board.
I think any Panel, Group, Survey Site, Beta Site should be in here. I mean basically anything that isn't just a straight out freebie and there is some work involved.

BzzAgent is a tough one. Because although you're not require to do a survey, you are still required to sign up, and maintain an account. Which would make it fit in either group. But if SheSpeaks and other sites like that are going to be here, then maybe BzzAgent should be too.

I mean it's hard, not everyone is going to be happy with the changes right away. But just remember we all wanted a survey sub-forum, so we all need to have an open mind. Nothings going to be perfect over night.

I'm just glad we finally got a suvery sub-forum.

I'm sure it will just take a bit to get used to finding things. I'm so used to seeing them all on one page so it was easy to refresh while doing other things.

Some seem to be surveys while others seem to be heads up and panels,etc. I'll adjust.

Also, will my alerts still work that were set for study, etc.?
