hi all, i'm the original poster to this topic.

I would like to know if anyone has been able to clone a sero account for their friend without having to do the TOL. i don't want to get the plan and do the TOL. would i be able to call or login to chat and telll them my cousin wants the same plan as me, but i don't want to take responsiblity to his plan, therefore could they put him on the same plan under his own name?

i haven't check back to this thread for ages. it seems like there's a lot of success stories.. hopefully everyone is satisfied with their plan now.
btw, i hope everyone utilize the repping feature on this forum. THANKS

PLEASE STOP PM-ING ME. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ANYONE IN GETTING THIS PLAN.

FYI...

The plan code for the sero 500 minute is "FF1077" Tell them you want that plan and it's still active in the computer

The sero 1250 plan code is FF1079

Make sure you say another REP gave you the plan codes and told you that you could do it. This worked for me on the first try. The guy gave me the plan codes and told me if I had any trouble or wanted to call in and get another line to use those codes.

Original plan
Sero F&F 500mins for $30

i just called and successfully added

Newly added
1x $30 fair and flex - 500mins
1x $49.99 Fair and Flex - 1250mins

called this number 1-888-882-4030

basically if your an existing Sero customer with old grandfathered plan and you want another line for a family member now you can successfully do this.

what i did was call that number above. i told him that i would like to add a line to my existing phone service. the rep asked for my number and name, he also wanted to confirm my identity, next he proceeded asking what i would like to do. i told him i was interested in signing up one more line with the same plan i have now. he told me i can add up to 10 numbers on my account and it wouldn't be a problem. i was able to get the old $30 bucks a month plan without compromising existing plan. he also allowed me to order another line on the old $49 plan with 1250 mins. this plan was the old sero plan that no longer exist.

Steps taken:
  • 1-888-882-4030
  • be polite
  • ask if your talking to the Sero Department
  • ask politely if you can add a line to your account
  • rep would confirm your identity then perhaps ask what your trying to do
  • explain that you want to open another line with the same sero plan you have now
  • hopefully everything went well
  • confirm what he did to your account
  • ask for his name and say thanks...
  • your done

NOTES - make sure you takes notes and keep logs just in case Sprint tries to screw you.
  • ask for the reps name and write down the date and time of call.
  • make sure you ask him to repeat the changes
  • double check what other things he's done to the account other then adding a new line

Hope this info is useful. i don't know if it has been posted before.

If you don't believe me, check my attachment picture

here are 2 successful stories that have been buried in the long sero thread

You should be able too. The only caveat is how long it will take you to get a csr to not only add a line for you but then get another one to do a TOL. In the interim, you might end up with paying two accounts until it gets done, if it gets done.

Remember Sprint is giving $125 credit for new customers that port over from another carrier.

Thanks for the heads up. Checked my Bill and it says the same. Does that mean they will remove current discounts, or that if you make any changes you will lose your discount? Kind of liked my $28.47 After taxes Bill!
its on my bill too oh well ... Even without the discount I am doing pretty well on the new sero family plan + 3 family members.... paying about $34.75 a line before taxes. I wonder if they are going to add out that $10 3G TAX?

After you create your new SERO line, you call Sprint with your ATT phone #, account #, account password. You tell them you want to port the ATT number to your SERO line.

This is general info. To be specific, call ATT and ask them exactly what info Sprint must provide to port your ATT number to Sprint. They must give it to you. You then call Sprint and feed them the info ATT specified. I would suggest that you speak to an ATT Supervisor, and make sure you get their ID # or whatever.

As you probably know already, porting will cancel your ATT account. woot

I'm curious if anyone has activated a TP2 or some other non-iconic smart phone on SERO after Jan 30? I tried to do it online right now and it says I will be charged the premium data fee. Has anyone been able to swap phones without getting charged an extra $10 a month on plain old sero?

Now that just doesn't seem right. They didn't increase the cost $10 for all the current SERO accounts that already had a smart phone in use. If that is the policy then it makes sense to upgrade to serop

I'm on a SERO Premium plan and sending my Pre to Palm for service (crack at USB port.) I ESN-swapped back to my old HTC Diamond on Sprint's website today, so I'll have a phone to use while my Pre is being repaired. "No Plan Change" was required and no $10 premium data fee was added to my account (AFAIK). I don't know if it makes a difference, but this phone had previously been activated on my account. I'm hoping that if Palm replaces my old Pre with a new one, I won't be hit up with the $10 charge when I try to activate it.

SERO Premium already has the data charge built in though. Wondering if anyone on plain old SERO has done a esn swap or activated a new phone, thanks.

All SERO plans are priced as stated...no add'l monthly fees. If you need to determine if your new phone on a regular or an EPRP account is subject to the add'l $10.00/mo. data fee, just go to sprint online and make a phone purchase with a new service. At check out you will see if that particular phone requires the add'l $10.00 monthly fee.

hi. i just wanted to let everyone know i was able to add a SERO-P plan to my SERO acct today on my second try.

i had 2 separate accounts. one was a SERO acct ($30plan) and another with the Everything Data 450 plan (with corporate discount 25% off).

i called Employee Care 888.876.8381 today at approx 1pm and spoke to kathy. she was very helpful.. i simply asked her if she can merge both my accts together. she started typing for a while and said 'no problem.' then i asked can she change my Everything Data 450 plan to the SERO Premium? she said 'sure.. it'll be $40/month. is that ok?' that was pretty much it... i was shocked how easy it was. thanks to everyone for all your help. hopefully this information will help others...
