hi all, i'm the original poster to this topic.

I would like to know if anyone has been able to clone a sero account for their friend without having to do the TOL. i don't want to get the plan and do the TOL. would i be able to call or login to chat and telll them my cousin wants the same plan as me, but i don't want to take responsiblity to his plan, therefore could they put him on the same plan under his own name?

i haven't check back to this thread for ages. it seems like there's a lot of success stories.. hopefully everyone is satisfied with their plan now.
btw, i hope everyone utilize the repping feature on this forum. THANKS

PLEASE STOP PM-ING ME. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ANYONE IN GETTING THIS PLAN.

FYI...

The plan code for the sero 500 minute is "FF1077" Tell them you want that plan and it's still active in the computer

The sero 1250 plan code is FF1079

Make sure you say another REP gave you the plan codes and told you that you could do it. This worked for me on the first try. The guy gave me the plan codes and told me if I had any trouble or wanted to call in and get another line to use those codes.

Original plan
Sero F&F 500mins for $30

i just called and successfully added

Newly added
1x $30 fair and flex - 500mins
1x $49.99 Fair and Flex - 1250mins

called this number 1-888-882-4030

basically if your an existing Sero customer with old grandfathered plan and you want another line for a family member now you can successfully do this.

what i did was call that number above. i told him that i would like to add a line to my existing phone service. the rep asked for my number and name, he also wanted to confirm my identity, next he proceeded asking what i would like to do. i told him i was interested in signing up one more line with the same plan i have now. he told me i can add up to 10 numbers on my account and it wouldn't be a problem. i was able to get the old $30 bucks a month plan without compromising existing plan. he also allowed me to order another line on the old $49 plan with 1250 mins. this plan was the old sero plan that no longer exist.

Steps taken:
  • 1-888-882-4030
  • be polite
  • ask if your talking to the Sero Department
  • ask politely if you can add a line to your account
  • rep would confirm your identity then perhaps ask what your trying to do
  • explain that you want to open another line with the same sero plan you have now
  • hopefully everything went well
  • confirm what he did to your account
  • ask for his name and say thanks...
  • your done

NOTES - make sure you takes notes and keep logs just in case Sprint tries to screw you.
  • ask for the reps name and write down the date and time of call.
  • make sure you ask him to repeat the changes
  • double check what other things he's done to the account other then adding a new line

Hope this info is useful. i don't know if it has been posted before.

If you don't believe me, check my attachment picture

here are 2 successful stories that have been buried in the long sero thread

I'm curious if anyone has activated a TP2 or some other non-iconic smart phone on SERO after Jan 30? I tried to do it online right now and it says I will be charged the premium data fee. Has anyone been able to swap phones without getting charged an extra $10 a month on plain old sero?
The information was incorrect. Call the number in the wiki for employee service plans. If they don't help, message Russ McGuire on his blog.

SERO Premium already has the data charge built in though. Wondering if anyone on plain old SERO has done a esn swap or activated a new phone, thanks.
Activated a Touch Pro at home (swapped out a TP2), repair center activated refurbished (faulty) TP2 on same line, went back & repair center activated new TP2, went home and activated old TP2 on the line (new TP2 stored as backup).

No $10 fee.

Here are the steps I followed to get the $40 Sero Premium

Thanks to "JBlade00" for his post http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=36691229&postcount=1954

1. Added a new line of service as EPRP on 2/13/2011. I orderd the Refurbrished Blackberry Tour 9630 for $79.99 - $50 Web Discount.
2. The phone shipped on 2/14/2011 and my account was updated to reflect the new line.
3. I started a echat session this morning and said this:

Quote :
Me: I have been told that it is possible to change my plan from Employee Plus Referral Plan to SERO Premium. I would love to do that for ###-###-####
Agent1: To better assist you with your question, I will transfer you to an employee account chat specialist. Please remain online.
Agent2: Would you like to change your service plan?
Me: yes. change my plan from Employee Plus Referral Plan to SERO Premium for ###-###-####
Agent2: Please allow me few moments.
Me: ok. no problem
Agent2: You mean $40.00 sero premuiem plan correct?
Me: yes.
Agent2: Please allow me few moments.
Me: ok
Agent2: Should I change the service plan from today?
Me: yes please.
Agent2: Ok.
Agent2: The updates are taking me a little extra time. I should be done shortly.
Me: no problem. thanks
Agent2: I have changed service plan of line #### to $40.00 sero premium plan and it will effective from today.
Me: ok. thanks for your help. Have a good day.
Agent2: My goal is to ensure the issues that prompted you to chat today are fully resolved. Did I address all the reasons for your chat today?
Me: yes you did.
4. After 20 minutes, my plan was updated in my account.
5. Since the phone is a Refurb, it shows up with the $150 credit towards a new phone. I plan to use that later this summer when a new flagship phone (perhaps an EVO 2) is released. The phone is scheduled to be delivered today.

6. I plan to port my number from AT&T (i left Sero 500 for the Iphone a while back) and get that $125 credit.

I hope this helps others get the Sero P.

Note: I already had two SERO plans on my account - Sero 500 and Sero P 500 (recently converted from Sero 1250).

Does anyone know if you can open more than one sprint account (not lines)? If so, what is the procedure. Thank you.

I have discovered/confirmed a new method for doing a TOL of a SERO line to someone who is not currently a Sprint customer:

1) Have new person sign up for an EPRP plan here: http://delivery.sprint.com/m/p/nx...anding.asp
Since you will ultimately be canceling this plan, you may as well choose the cheapest plan, and pick a phone that is free.

2) After new person's phone arrives & account is activated and ready, perform the TOL.

Here is the method for performing the TOL (source [sprintusers.com]):
Quote :
This has always been the way I have done it and I have never had any issue..
1.- Have the person TAKING over the plan call A.S. 877-775-4886
2.- They tell Sprint the name on the account and number they are taking over. Also the number to contact the plan owner.
3.- Sprint rep calls owner gets pin ,owner tells Sprint to call you back if there are any issues transferring the line.. DONE..

There are multiple reasons to do it like this..
1.-- Fastest for the seller. You are on the phone 1 minute
2.-- SERO seller doesn't have repeated call ins for TOL listed on their account if he moves 2 or 3 a month this can really add up. And you don't want a flagged account.
3) Now that you have performed the TOL, the new person is left with one EPRP line and one SERO line. Check, and double check, that the transfer was successful by logging into both Sprint accounts (yours and the new person's).

4) Within 30 days of opening the new EPRP line, new person calls Sprint back and cancels the original EPRP line for a full refund. Now you are left with only a SERO line on a brand new account, and you are not under contract from the original EPRP line.

5) Done! Big Grin

Notes: I have read that it is possible to open an EPRP account over the phone, but not choose a line or a phone to go with it. If this is true, you could avoid the hassle of ordering/returning the phone and canceling a new line.

When they did this in NY, the outcome was that now welfare recepients can get FREE cell phones from a number of providers. They get like 250 FREE minutes a month.

Guess who is paying for FREE cell phones for people not interested in working for a living?

If they pay $20 they can get another 750 mins for a total of 1000 minutes and 1000 texts.
Didn't see any data option yet. Only a matter of time before we are footing that too.

to be honest i dont mind if welfare receives such a small civil liberty. my family was on the system when i was a kid and it helped us a lot. with as advanced as technology now, everyone should be allowed free telephonic services. The data charges are what needs to be the main focus on charging.

I agree, LifeLine is a good service, but come on, a cell phone? Some working people can't afford a cell phone, and people who don't work get them for free? Land line is a necessity, but cell phone is a luxury.

Besides, when I visit "poor" neighborhoods, they have a lot more expensive cars on the streets and people wearing more gold than in affluent neighbohoods.

There are more Lexuses (or is it Lexi for plural?) and Escalades per capita in the South Bronx than in Greenwich, CT. And almost all of them have 20" and bigger gold plated rims which cost a few thousand dollars per RIM!!!

cell phones arent a luxury. maybe years ago but not now they are far too common, as i said its the data use of the phones thats the luxury. also ghetto's portray wearing more jewelry because in those areas every bit of bling is a status quo, for above avg people they dont need to show off bling if they have it, vs poor ppl they gotta to show they have 'something'.

OK so I think this is the best option for me. I have an account with 3 SERO lines - my mom, dad, and me. But it is under my mom's name. I want to have my own account. So I am going to follow these instructions and do a TOL from my mom's account for my current line under her account. That should work right? (And, yes, I understand by "should work" it could take multiple attempts.

I will cancel the EPRP line within 30 days and I definitely have to return the phone that I got to go with that line right? (Just trying to con my way into an EVO or EVO Shift without waiting till I get my $150 credit on my SERO line in 8 months. And, yes, I know I would have to upgrade to the $50 plan if I went that route.)

Thanks for all the info folks!

Edit: And I can select any plan from the website right, like the "Everything Plus™ Data Family - with Any Mobile, AnytimeSM" which is the $39.99 plan - and then cancel it after my SERO line arrives?

Ok, so I got my old SERO account converted to a SERO P account. I now want to add people to my plan and switch their plans to SERO P and then do TOLs.

Here's the scene: 2 people are current sprint customers in regular everything plans for $69. They are both currently in a contract on their own accounts. I want to bring them in then convert them and then do a TOL. Should be pretty straight forward. I did this in the past with reg SERO when it was more difficult to add lines and convert them. I already greased the skids and got an echat conversation, explicitly stating that I could add lines of service and convert them to SERO P. I realized from my previous experiences that I would need proof. Should I add lines with some generic plan then bring those two lines in? Or just try to do it one move? I dont want to order phones and stuff for these two lines because these people are not eligible for new phones at this point in time. They will be keeping their current phones, I'm just going to transfer them onto my plan for a month or so so I can convert them and then transfer them out.

Third person is not a sprint customer. On Tmobile prepaid. They can get a new phone and want the EVO. Should I order that phone, set up the SERO P on it then port his number over and carry him for a month or so then do the TOL? Or should I have him go get the phone, sign up with sprint, start with the everything plan and then add him to my account, convert it to the SERO P plus $10 (4G) and then do the TOL?

I know I can add upto 5 lines of service to my account and like I said, I have an echat conversation where it is stated explicitly multiple times with me summarizing that I can add lines to my account then convert those lines into SEROP.

I plan on using that if there is any issue when I call Sprint to convert these lines.

Any advice would be appreciated.

TIA!!
