hi all, i'm the original poster to this topic.

I would like to know if anyone has been able to clone a sero account for their friend without having to do the TOL. i don't want to get the plan and do the TOL. would i be able to call or login to chat and telll them my cousin wants the same plan as me, but i don't want to take responsiblity to his plan, therefore could they put him on the same plan under his own name?

i haven't check back to this thread for ages. it seems like there's a lot of success stories.. hopefully everyone is satisfied with their plan now.
btw, i hope everyone utilize the repping feature on this forum. THANKS

PLEASE STOP PM-ING ME. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ANYONE IN GETTING THIS PLAN.

FYI...

The plan code for the sero 500 minute is "FF1077" Tell them you want that plan and it's still active in the computer

The sero 1250 plan code is FF1079

Make sure you say another REP gave you the plan codes and told you that you could do it. This worked for me on the first try. The guy gave me the plan codes and told me if I had any trouble or wanted to call in and get another line to use those codes.

Original plan
Sero F&F 500mins for $30

i just called and successfully added

Newly added
1x $30 fair and flex - 500mins
1x $49.99 Fair and Flex - 1250mins

called this number 1-888-882-4030

basically if your an existing Sero customer with old grandfathered plan and you want another line for a family member now you can successfully do this.

what i did was call that number above. i told him that i would like to add a line to my existing phone service. the rep asked for my number and name, he also wanted to confirm my identity, next he proceeded asking what i would like to do. i told him i was interested in signing up one more line with the same plan i have now. he told me i can add up to 10 numbers on my account and it wouldn't be a problem. i was able to get the old $30 bucks a month plan without compromising existing plan. he also allowed me to order another line on the old $49 plan with 1250 mins. this plan was the old sero plan that no longer exist.

Steps taken:
  • 1-888-882-4030
  • be polite
  • ask if your talking to the Sero Department
  • ask politely if you can add a line to your account
  • rep would confirm your identity then perhaps ask what your trying to do
  • explain that you want to open another line with the same sero plan you have now
  • hopefully everything went well
  • confirm what he did to your account
  • ask for his name and say thanks...
  • your done

NOTES - make sure you takes notes and keep logs just in case Sprint tries to screw you.
  • ask for the reps name and write down the date and time of call.
  • make sure you ask him to repeat the changes
  • double check what other things he's done to the account other then adding a new line

Hope this info is useful. i don't know if it has been posted before.

If you don't believe me, check my attachment picture

here are 2 successful stories that have been buried in the long sero thread

More power to you if you can live with SERO.

my cents:
dont get me wrong..i was just like u as well.
while most of my family/freiends were getting the new iphone 1, or a phone with this new OS called "android"..i was proud of my low monthly fee plan w SPRINT while on the htc touch, htc diamond and even touch pro2 (skipped the tp1)..however...

about 1 year ago..i bit the bullet and bought an androd phone LTE and a apple iphone 5 ..i can see it is a night and day difference..even with the additional cost....

today..with these cheaper MVNO now..u can even get a android on one of thaose $10 plan for RING +.....WINNER...(since most have a wifi available most of the day..(home or work)...it really makes no sense to keep the unlimited data

[btw..i have alos realized that unlimited data on SPRINT really means nothing TO MOST PEOPLE (slow network,,even the LTE is slow {in most places}...}

anyways..if u can make sero work,,,more power to u...

however, i think , [to quote the below post] ...Sero has outlived it useful life Frown

IIRC,....sprint never really did anything for its sero customers..
Well I'm on SERO Premium right now which isn't a problem, but I'm going on a month long road trip through Canada and need the unlimited T-Mo international roaming next summer. My contract is until October though and mainly I just bought a T-Mobile Moto X and it's useless to me if I can't get out of this Sprint contract. Might have to return it. :/

Why not buy one of the no contract pre-paid phones from T-Mobile, like the Nokia 521 and add the international plan just for the month you will be gone? Here's a review of the 520/521:

I just might end up doing that. I just wanted to jump ship to T-Mo when I found out I could get basically the same thing for the same price with my advantage discount as I'm paying for SERO Premium right now. On top of that, I'm still waiting for LTE here and gettin' real tired of this 1x sh*t. LMAO

Same here, waiting for LTE, 4G, whatever they're calling it nowadays. I'm on SERO P ($40 plan) using the Arrive. I refuse to upgrade to a 4G phone and pay the extra $10 a month when I can't even get 4G. Not only that but I'm also waiting for Sprint to come out with one of the Nokia Lumia phones. If that doesn't happen soon, I'll probably jump on the Android train or go to another carrier to get a Nokia.

I started out with an EVO 4G and it was pretty good on WiMax. Too bad the battery life sucked so I basically only used 4G on the charger. Upgraded to an EVO 4G LTE and kept paying the extra $10 for "premium data" until it recently got stolen. Now I'm using my mom's iPhone 4S and still have to pay even though the phone doesn't have LTE. What a load of crap.

Does anyone know if transferring accounts is still possible? I've had it with sprint. Service for me is abysmal and not having the phone selection I want (Nokia 1520 or any lumia for that matter), is killing me!!!

I'm guessing it might still be possible but it will probably take a lot of effort on your part. Not sure if it's worth the effort or time. Sprints done a lot of cracking down on SERO users.

I feel exactly like you do when it comes to Sprint not offering any new Nokia phones. I'm considering jumping ship off of SERO for that fact alone. Their service is fine for what I use my phone for. I'm not a big data user. Don't have a lot of time to watch videos on my phone. I use the Arrive right now. I refuse to upgrade to a 4G/LTE phone when it's not even available in my area yet. I just have to compare plans and see who offers the best deal and carries Nokia. Not sure about the 1520 being too large. I have a nephew that has one and loves it. He says he can't go back to a smaller screen.

im glad i started reading this thread again.... after 7+ years on sero500 im ready to jump to at least the seroP tier. the ONLY thing i dont want to lose is my tethering capabilities since the tp2 does that so well and the speeds were always manageable (i guess im just used to 100k/s connections or so and i dont expect fast speeds). but i get frustrated at the processing power that the tp2 puts out when using it.
My next option is to move up to a lg optimus s since that seems to be the best out on that tier but ive read mixed reviews on tethering/wifi/hotspoting. My last option would be to buck up and move up to the seroP +10 like my wife has finally accepted last year when she got her S3, i just hate that 4g tax since we dont get it in our area or like 80% of the areas we spend more of our time at. After reading this is seems like everyone is in agreement that sero cant compare to the deals being offered now, but i dont want to accept that until sprint has 4g in our area. At that point though would a $50 plan still outweigh whats currently out there?

I think $50 for unlimited everything is a pretty good deal, especially once 4G is available in your area and mine.

but from what ppl are saying on here it seems 2x seroP ($50) isnt as good as just getting a family plan. we for sure wouldnt need the minutes as my wife never goes over hers and when im getting ready to go over mine i always just call up to add minutes and i can usually pull getting that at a % off or even have had it waived.

I have to agree that when it comes to family plans, you can find better deals then SERO. For a single line or maybe even two, it's hard to beat IMHO. More than two, look else where.
