Is this supposed to work with Jeans on clearance? The code was working yesterday, but not today. It says, "The 20% off with purchase of AE jean has been applied but the qualification rules have not been met."

I was on the site last night at nearly midnight EST. Across the top of the page it said, Free Shipping through 10.8" at the time. I remember even clicking the details link they had at the top and it said no code necessary. I left some items in the shopping bag and was going to complete the order today, but the free shipping is no longer there.

Was anyone here on ae.com late last night and saw this too? Customer service is denying it and making me think I'm nuts, lol... so I'm curious if others saw it late last night or early this morning. It's very misleading and disappointing to see they would put an offer up for a few hours, claim it would end 10/8 and then quickly take it down. Next time I see something like this, I'll definitely be taking a screenshot and saving the details they have listed.

I saw it, but disregarded it because I have shop runner. It was absolutely there though because i clicked back to make sure clearance was still 40% off because I thought they may have replaced that deal with the free shipping! When I get home I will check my laptop, i may still have ae.com pulled up from last night and can take a screen shot.

I don't know I just tried it and it said the same thing, I placed an order the other day when it started and it went through maybe it was a glitch in the system or something it worked then though.

Even when I add non-sale/clearance jeans to the cart, it only takes the extra 20% off those jeans...not the entire order. Oh well. At least the 15% off code works! That's better than nothing!

Must have been a glitch or they changed the "restrictions". That's what I get for waiting too long.

Good News! If for some reason the 20% code is not working for you, just place the order online and then call AE and inform them of your order & the problem you experienced. They went ahead and applied the discount to my order and credited my account.

Or you can do this the long way and place the order over the phone and they will force the discount on the order so that it is one clean transaction. Happy shopping...
