Did you guys ever have any bad service in the store? I had the worst experience ever.

I brought a few items to the store because I wanted to exchange. I was holding somme items from the store, and an associate offer to put the stuff I was holding plus my bag (ae stuff that I plan to exchange) at the register. I didn't accept and told her I had a few of my belonging in the bag. Later, when she opened a fitting room for me, she offered to hold my stuff (my bag) at the register again. I found this to be strange but I didn't say anything because I might mistood her that she was afraid I stole anything. As I tried to exchange without a receipt, she scanned all my exchange items and told me how much I would get. Then, she asked for my ae reward card. I thought she wanted it to scan so I could get points, so I gave it to her. Turned out she was looking for those items that I wanted to exchange to see how much I paid. She told me I could exchange for the same item as an even out, but for items that were not the same, I would lose my coupon discount on it. Even though I was not happy since I would lose my % off discount on items that I just bought a few days ago, I didn't make a fuss or anything. I only asked nicely that I didn't want to exchange those and just paid for the items I picked from the store.

A couple of days later, I came back and asked to get store credit on a couple of stuff that my friend asked me to get since she was busy and would be out of town soon. Since it was her stuff, I didn't want to give my aereward to the associate. They told me without the receipt and aereward card, they couldn't give me the store credit. I called customer service and was told I was able to get a store credit. The customer service put me on hold and called the store. Then, customer service told me that the store didn't want me to get more than I was paid. I told the rep that I didn't know how store would know how much I paid since I didn't even gave them my name nor my card. At that moment, the store associate told me they would gave me the store credit, so I thought the problem was resolve and hang up the phone. The store was about to give me the credit but the price was lower than I expected (those items were not on sale in the store). I was told that were the prices that I paid. I asked the associate that I didn't give him my name nor my card. He said he found the exact same item in the computer. He also looked down at the register and asked me if I was "___." Suprisingly but I said yes. He said I was at the store and left unhappy a few days ago. He also said he couldn't give me more than I was paid. I kept telling him that these were my friend's stuff but why he looked into my account, but he kept telling me he couldn't give me more than I was paid. I also found out that the lady who helped a few days ago was the store manager.
My friend and I wear the same size, so the bar code for her stuff were the same as mine. I was so shock that the store treated me like I'm a criminal. The store manager single me out by wroting my name down and asked her employees to be aware of me. The store associate jumped into the conclusion and was like telling me I'm guilty.

I had an experience one where I took in a 5-7 returns from different times. She kept asking why I had waited so long to return the stuff and where I had the them all this time. Also while processing them the girl wanted my ID and wrote all my info down on a paper. I asked why and she said well you are doing a lot of returns and I think she might of mentioned some were old. It made me feel like I did something wrong. So I called CS and talk to a gentleman and he told me I did nothing wrong. He had me send a complaint to CS and I was told they would talk the the GM. I am not sure if anything ever came of it but I don't recall seeing her again.

Wow, I'm really sorry that happened. I had a horrible experience once with a manager that had just come on shift and was super hung over and proceeded to yell at me over an item that was mis-marked on clearance by about $0.50. It was just entirely too stupid for words.

If they ask for an AE rewards card, I tell them I don't have one. But this crap about how they wrote down your name is ridiculous. If there isn't a running list of other people by the register, it's discrimination. I would give CS an earful.

Does anyone know what is the time frame to return items? I looked on the site and they dont state 30 days or anything so was wondering if anyone has experience on this from a return from maybe 60 days ago or longer?
