Grand Opening of Black Friday Forum + Pumpkin Contest for Dell Mini!

A few Black Friday ads (Harbor Freight & Ace Hardware) are starting to show up so we just opened our Black Friday forum. Come on in and join the fun.

To start it off, we'll do something fun and have a Slickdeals Pumpkin Carving Contest!! For our third Annual pumpkin contest, we are opening the contest site wide, so everyone go get a pumpkin, carve it, and pm your entry to slickdeals. After we get some entries, we'll host them anonymously in a temporary forum and put them up for thumbs up/down voting.



Entries can be as creative as you want, but they must be PG13 and conform to our image rules. Also, entries must have a placard somewhere that mentions Slickdeals 2008 in order to verify authenticity.

The rules:

1. Get a pumpkin.


2. Carve it.


3. Take a few digital pictures of that pumpkin, and host it online at a
   site such as tinypic or imageshack.


4. A placard with the words "Slickdeals 2008" must be included in the picture to qualify for voting. [Sample from last year, this year entries must include the year as well].


5. PM the link of your image to slickdeals. Do NOT post it in the forums. We'll post the pics anonymously. Submissions must be made by 11:59:59 PM EST, Nov. 1st.


6. Starting Nov. 2nd, we'll all vote on the best pumpkin carving! The poll will open the morning of the second and close on Friday Nov 7th. Extra 3 points for Slickdeals or Black Friday themed pumpkins.


7. Only one entry per person, please. You can choose to have your entry lit or unlit, but only one entry will be allowed. Once an entry is submitted, it can not be changed.


8. Please do not post pictures of your submission in this thread, or they will be disqualified.

This year we have some exciting prizes. We will pick a winner for the grand prize. 50 of the highest rated pumpkins will receive the runner's up prize.
