So, everyone uses different browsers, from IE to FireFox to Safari.

Sometimes people paste Coupons.com/Bricks links that they recieved in FireFox, which do not work in Internet Explorer or vice versa. You get the "Please wait..." or "Please Install The Coupon Printer" even if you already did.

This trick will allow you to simply change 2 characters in the URL to make a FireFox link work in Internet Explorer and vice versa

Here's how easy it is, the following is a FireFox link:
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

note the "wg" in the URL. This link gives the repeating Please Install The Coupon Printer in Internet Explorer.

To make that link an Internet Explorer link we simply change "wg" to "wi" OR "vi" (in this case, both variations work, other coupons it may be wi or vi, trial and error):
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY
or
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=vi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

UPDATE: If you want to print Bricks coupons on a MAC with Safari, replace the "wg", "wi", or "vi" to "xs". You can also do the reverse, take a Safari link "xs" to IE "wi" or "vi" or to FireFox "wg".

You do the opposite if you want to print an Internet Explorer link in FireFox!

PS. I changed http to hxxp so you guys can see the full URL without the forum code making it a clickable link.

I was hoping a Mod/Admin could sticky this thread. It seems to have been very useful via all the Reps and PMs I've gotten about it.

Thanks.

Just saw a referral to this thread from another. Evidently the Mods didn't sticky it. In case anyone would like to sticky this, and doesn't know how, here you go - Go up to thread tools towards the upper right of the OP. Click on that, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on stick the thread to the top. That's it. Next time you open the coupons thread, it will be shown there with the other stickys. HTH

I am not sure if a different printer would do the trick. I had a Canon on it for a while in the past before this issue and there was no way I could change the settings. But, I'm thinking the Canon's issue was that it wasn't designed/updated for OS X. Now, the HP, it's just annoying.

I haven't tried to do anything with it for a while. I think the last thing I printed was the BOGO Sobe and then it was done.
That was about one of the last ones for me too.Frown Have you tried asking Bricks for help. I honestly just thought it was my computer being screwy. I will try to write in for help. I really miss having 2 computers to print from (we have a Dell too).

Backwards!?!

How so? The entire coupon, as if it's in a mirror?

You may have to contact customer support from bricks. There's links on the coupon pages when having issues.

I wonder if it's some weird setting on the printer? But, I've never heard of such a thing.

I would appreciate it very much if someone can help me with this..

Whenever I try to print bricks coupons, the coupon gets into the printer queue and the status says "Spooling", but nothing happens after that!

You coupons are printing continues on an endless loop!

I have tried printing coupons from other sites (target etc.,) and had no issues..

Start writing companies and report it. I have been reporting this but the companies say that unless they start hearing complaints, they won't do anything. Write to the companies that send you the email coupons and tell them that coupons.com coupons don't print. Everyone that writes, they will make that company fix their non-working coupon software. Coupons.com get a lot of money for sending out coupons, but they don't do the work to keep their printer updated to work. A good place to start is to email DelMonte. It takes public action getting together to make a change. Good luck.

There is an option on my printer to print backwards so you can make t-shirt transfers.

well, its not just that, but a number of things. the printer program 'captures' your IP address, the MAC address of your network card, adds a couple of 'suspiciously named' files to look like windows files, the OS HDD serial number, etc. so trying to print more then once in a VM/sandbox in itself wont work multiple times. you are better off printing on different computers.

I'm having the same problems too with some Q's, and I'm also having the "spooling" problem where the Q spools to the printer and disappears. Wish there was more info to troubleshoot these issues!

Present issues for me with these are printing issues from within Windows 7 specifically, luckily I have a single non-Win7 machine left in the house. Seems like this is a new thing in the last few weeks, can't seem to remember bricks doing this before. It locks up on the screen with the PC and dots flowing to the printer doing nothing.

It says we are sorry seems we dont support your printer or one of your printer settings. And wants me to change and I did what it said and still cant print them .
I started having exactly this same problem in the last couple weeks in Firefox and Safari when I try to print bricks/coupons.com. When I try in IE, the browser crashes. I don't know what has changed. They were printing fine until recently.

Does anyone have a clue?
