I go thru the effort of posting a reply to the "Target" thread, submit my thoughts and the post vanished.
I went thru all that effort and nothing, just gone.
How about a heads up on threads to be deleted. Like the expired warning on the slickdeal threads.

I'm never shopping at Target again(to be deleted)

Then if we doth protest to much - ya gotta leave it.

Or move them into a deleted thread that can only be read and no longer posted to?

Except for maybe the really offensive or distasteful ones, but then again is individual taste.

Which Target thread?? I do know that after a certain time the threads fall out if not replied to. The mods generally don't delete the threads (unless they are bad), we move them for safe keeping out of view. With the being said I didn't see a target thread in there..

I deleted it. The original thread starter said he posted it in error and than was unable to delete it after he realized his mistake.

I think Scullygirl was talking about the Target Madden 2k4 thread ending this saturday. I went to target and I asked for a raincheck and got a whole lot of games e.g.
Command and Conquer
Halo
Lord of The Rings
and all these games were 63% off. I read all of the threads and the guy who posted the original asked it to be deleted. I am going to start a new thread some where else because I feel that good deals or better yet slick deals should be share with the community. I have gotten my fair share of the games and it is now time to share.

No, she wasnt.

The 63% off thread was started on January 5th 2003, her thread regarding the disappearance of threads (this one) was posted on January 1st 2003.

and to the best of my (current) knowledge the Target 63% off thread was deleted because of its questionable ethics.

The target thread that's the discussion here was one started by someone who read a rumor that Target doesn't support the US Military. It was an urban myth that he later realized, and asked the admins to delete. Which they did.

Scully was about to enter her reply to it, and "poof!"
