Lately I have had some innocent words converted to "oslickdeals". I had no idea what was going on until I saw it happening to other people.

"Copy of Quicken" becomes "Copy oslickdealsen"
"Best of Luck" becomes "Best oslickdeals"

I searched for "oslickdeals*" and found a bunch of occurences.

http://slickdeals.net/forums/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=180327&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending

I think this is the profanity filter trying to fix common sneaky misspellings of F * C K.

Can someone look into fixing this? It's really annoslickdealsing.

:D

What's really going to be funny is if they do pull back the reins on the filter, I wonder if all the filtered F-words will be back. Or does the filter actually rewrite the word before it gets saved? I was assuming it just rewrites on the fly when the page loads...

I Guess it is just being overly anal.. I'm sure Mr. Slick will take a look at it.

Right. It's a trick I learned on another forum. just view the HTML source to figure it out.

Having said that, this thread will probably get deleted or censored.

Yeah, it just mangled a URL I was trying to post in the Lounge...took me a few minutes to figure out what had happened when people started replying "link not found." It was kind of aggravating, but at least I finally figured out what the farking problem was. :D
