I am actually hoping to win the laptop for my boyfriend. He has had a few bouts of bad luck this year and just recently his laptop was infected with a virus. He works two jobs and goes to school online, all of his schoolwork is done on the school website. He has very little time to cram everything in but somehow he does it most of the time sacrificing sleep to get projects done. Now that his computer is corrupt even with all of the virus repairs we've done, his school work is taking so long and he looses data. His whole future revovles around his computer. He doesn't have the money to replace the computer that was infected (an old dell about 3 years old) so I hope I win a new one so that I can give it to him. It would be like Santa Claus really does exist if I won the drawing.

Christmas present for my future wife!

Hello, my family and I have been through so much over the years, and it really is amazing we are still alive and able to hope, work for a more mended life. Both my parents are designated disabled, but my father and I had mostly taken care of my mother before I returned to college.

She's not doing well, and has negative symptoms (if you are a psych major, you'll know what I'm talking about :-) I hope to give this computer to my parents; most of all, I want my mother to use it, so that her days can be active again. This computer will get her online, and help her talk to more people and not feel so afraid.

I want her to remember that she really is a genius and kick ass, and that she is still needed in this world, and that she still is who she thought she once was. The Chinese water colors that come out of her mind are amazing in that she uses no reference, but the birds really look lifelike and lively, and the landscapes are so rich. I want to teach her how to use the computer and perhaps get her a little online gallery of her own. I try to go back home every other week, but there isn't much I can to do make her days more interesting, so I hope this will do the trick. -L.
