I really need a laptop for my new business. I use to have the perfect job that allowed me to work from home 4 days a week and take care of my 3 boys (ages 7,5,and 1). Then in August I was told that my job was being outsourced to INDIA. Then to add insult--I was told that I had to train them to take my job. So here I am starting my first business as an event planner. I have done 3 event this year, and I have booked my first event for 2009.

Next semester, I will be taking 16 credit hours at school. A laptop would be extremely beneficial to me so that I can do my homework in my spare time as well have a laptop to go to campus to study and have a tutor so that I can continue to keep my 4.0 grade average. I wanted to buy my son a laptop this year because he will be turning 18 six days before Christmas, so I was thinking about a combined Christmas/Birthday present. He will be going to college next year, so a laptop is something I was told he should really have. With the economy so rough, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get him the laptop this year. I was a teenage mother when he was born, so I feel like he's had a less than ideal life and I would love the opportunity to give him something so special.

My boyfriend is in desperate, desperate need of a new laptop computer. His current one is from the dark ages and I'm pretty sure he uses coal to power it. He is an electrician and recently broke his back from a fall he took, breaking 2 vertebrae in his lower back. I'm so thankful that he's going to be okay and will be able to walk again, but he's out of work for 4 months and needless to say, bored out of his mind.

I would use it for schoolwork

My wife's old Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop is no longer working and I would like to surprise her with a new laptop for Christmas. She's pregnant and on bed rest for the rest of her term -- three months to go!
