I'm new to the site and was wondering why for PC's that only Dell and HP have posted deals. What about Gateway, IBM, Sony, and other manufacturers?

Just curious.

Dell and HP are desperate to move units while IBM sold their computer branch, Gateway is on its way down and sony gets people to pay for their computers without sales (like apple).

Dell and HP are racing to fill the market with their brand. So, they are kinda having a price war. Gateway can't move enough units to make up for the small margins.

ibm and sony are high rollers, too high to have sales.
