i love songbird, been using it for years, but, this isn't a deal, its just freeware. its always been freeware.

Alright, We have ALOT of Sansa deals on this site. They don't have any dedicated music software along with their players like Apple does. Windows Media Player is not as simple as iTunes. You can't sync any other player besides an ipod to itunes. If you want the simplicity of iTunes (like 90% and BETTER), want to SIMPLY sync music to your Sansa Players. Than DOWNLOAD Songbird. Seriously this recognizes my e250 and is as simple as itunes. Drag and drop music, add playlist, audiobooks.

Make sure your Sansa Player is in MTP Mode from Settings > USB Mode

I have actually used Songbird and it works quite well. I had used it for a relatives Ipod but I am sure it works the same for the Sansa.

Never heard of songbird before. I use some app called Rockbox or something like that. The interface on the Sansa itself isn't that great for my tastes.

I'll give songbird a try, even if it is still in development.

PS - iTunes sucks big time.

My sansa 2gb player refurb from buy.com would often turn off on its own. I uploaded Rockbox on it and now it works GREAT!
