I had this thought in my head after reading my letter stating my Credit Expert deal had been canceled. I think that Hot deals (really hot deals) should be deleted off the forum and front page especially after they have been on the forum for X days (I don’t know how many is a fair number) or die. I think by doing this the companies who see a spike in signups using that deal wont be able to find the deal themselves on the site (at least this one maybe Mr. SD could talk to Mr. FW ...ewww) therefore protecting the deal against cancellation.
I don’t think this would really hurt anyone who is actually registered with the site from getting the deal because the forum is such an active community someone is bound to find someone who saw it and get a link via PM or Email.

I just got back from a convention and was about to structure this post as a resolution  Be it Resolved that the community of Slickdeals, the largest and most badass place in the world, in an effort to protect its members blah blah blah :lmao:

wow, you do sound political after SA!

here are my thoughts...it doesn't matter whether the hot deals get deleted here or not because if someone finds a hot deal here, you have to believe that they'll post the same deal at another forum they belong to. this could be another forum other than that other one you mentioned. i've seen deals here that gets copied to other places and vice versa.

Yeah but if you take out the top 2 (Us and FW) you would probably knock out I say 80% of times companies find the deal. You know who they go to to look for deals
