Another year, another year of sports games. MLB The Show returns to PS3 next year with a slew of new features. MLB 09 The Show will look even better than last year, thanks to added detail. Stadium crowds will be more interactive and varied than ever, and you'll see transitional lighting on the field as the day turns to dusk. An expanded Road to the Show and Franchise mode can also be enjoyed.

09 will also add online season leagues, training/practice drills, and a new ability to store replays onto the hard drive. The most important addition of all, however, are the mascots. Each team's mascot will be represented in the game.

for me, it was 2k8 that paled in comparison to the Show 08

2k7 was better than the Show 07 by far, but last year the tables turned big time for some reason. We'll see who has the better game this year...

again its a personal preference, i think 2k9'll be very strong as its the dude from EA's MVP Baseball which hands down was the best baseball franchise game.
He started the tweaks for 2k8, hopefully with a full year he can get 2k9 to be on lvl with MVP baseball

That "dude" is no longer involved in the 2k9 development. He has been replaced and there is a new developer "Visual Concepts". 2k8 was a disaster and based on the lack of information for 2k9, I think it's just going to be as bad. MLB '09 all the way!

Oh well anyway again its a preference. I myself didn't like the show 08, when i can score from 1st base with Jason Giambi on a double in the gap, there's something wrong with the game.

I'm about to sell my copy of 2008. I'm hesitant because it's honestly the best baseball game I ever played hands down. I have been gaming for a long time. Have played almost every baseball game ever made.

Same here. I love '08 but if 09 is anywhere near as good, I want to sell 08 while I can still get some decent $ for it.
