If you want a free tax software you can go to www.taxact.com and download it free, It only is for federal and it does give you free efile. As for your state taxes a lot of states offer free efile and programs through their website

I used this software last year to file my federal tax for free and my refund was direct deposited into my checking account in less than a week ! I HIGHLY recommend this for filing your federal taxes but not state taxes because they charge for that as explained.

I have been using Taxact for the last 3 years and its a great software. I never had issues.
