Thanks OP... there are some good ones at the link. I highly recommend OpenOffice. It is an amazing software package that does everything that Microsoft Office does, but for free!

I use LogMeIn Free when I'm on my laptop or away from home to use my desktop. I've not had a problem with it in 2 years although it does slow everything a bit.

I use many of them also, so it was nice to see the list all in one place. One other one that I have found very handy (and free) is FileHippo. It searches for any updates that are out there for the programs you use, then puts them on a menu for you to choose what you want to update. It is fast, as well, and I have had no problems with any of the updates I install. www.filehippo.com
Enjoy!

I'm glad to see Audacity is on there. I've been using it for years, and it's better than many payware audio editors.
