Sorry to disappoint guys, but it isn't a zit. It's a cyst. Epithelial (skin) cells aren't supposed to grow beneath the skin, and when they do they can form little round balls. These guys slough off just like regular skin cells, but they have no place to go. They just end up collecting inside the little ball, which stretches and stretches--just like regular skin does when what is beneath it gets bigger.

We routinely remove these in the OR (if they are huge) or the clinic. Of course, a lil betadine and some lidocaine goes a long way in making this a lot more pleasant for the patient. We also try to take 'em out intact.


The bag at the end is just the capsule of involuted skin coming out. The announcer is right--leave it behind and the cyst will grow back.


Your grandmother might call this a "Bible cyst" because they would whack 'em with the biggest book around (usually a Bible) and pop them under the skin. The body will resorb a lot of them that way, but your infection and re-growth rate go up dramatically.

It was probably a sebaceous cyst - not so much the core being pulled out but the capsule - if you don't pull out the encapsulation, it'll reform.

The only thing I found gross was the practitioner not using gloves, and on the whole, the procedure not being sterile...

I just watched it again while eating vanilla soft serve, and I gotta tell you, I think it's real.

I saw a 60 minutes story or some news magazine story 20 years ago about "Psychic Surgery" and how it is common in South East Asia and South America.

They showed video of a guy sticking his hand in someone's body and pulling out some 'tumors'. The paitent was not sedated and felt no pain. Now, of course upon review they demonstrated that he wasn't actually sticking his hand inside them... that was accomplished via slight of hand... and he had palmed the tumors, which looked like fajita meat. This is the same kind of 'surgery' that Andy Kaufman is said to have had when he was diagnosed with lung cancer.

In this video he cuts the body w/o touching it... then the goo that comes out of the 'tumor' looks like paste coming out of a tube... like toothpaste or mayo. I've never seen such a thing. Most stuff that oozes out of the body doesn't come so well formed, AFAIK.

Before he removes the 'tumor' he fishes around for it... poking around in the cavity. He then takes his finger out of the cavity, cleans the wound off and makes the presentation of the tumor, by just squeezing the sides of the wound. To me, it seems he could have palmed the tumor and planted it in the cavity with his finger before he extracts it.

Now as for the pulling on the 'core'... I don't have any idea how that might be accomplished. Nor can I say how this bulge in the woman's back got there... and he seems to have flushed it out.

I don't know how it all works... it just looks a lot like what i've seen before described as psychic surgery. Also the fact that it's clearly from some other country... the music playing is of the 'tribal voodoo' genre. It has the feel of a TV show that's some kind of spin off of the "In Search Of" series from the 70s with Charleton Heston narrating instead of Nimoy. Perhaps I'm biased against the music and grainy picture quality. But... it seems fake to me. Just one man's opinion.

All of the "psychic surgery" I've seen before was always concealed from the onlookers (or cameras) eyes. They made little to no attempt to do that here.

Also with psychic surgery, they don't actually cut into the skin, and at the end of the psychic surgery, the skin is intact. (as if whatever the "doctor" was trying to take out, he took out by magically passing it through the skin, without cutting)

I had a ganglion cyst drained from my wrist and that same stuff came out of it!!! I almost passed out. I am too afraid to have it removed. And I am even more afriad now that I've seen this video!!!

I have had at least 10 ganglion cysts removed NONE, and I repeat NONE of them was remotely close to this shi#.

A boil is caused by staph bacteria which you can pick up at gyms, hospitals ( a lot), Etc.....Your body tried to fight the staph so it has white blood cells come in & that's what you see......
