If a URL is the first entry in a post, it is not automatically converted to a clickable link. Subsequent URLs in the same post are converted.

it looks to be the way the post was formatted. If you go back in and edit
your post to add a "space" after the [/quote] the formatting fixes itself
and the url appears fine.
