I have a question about these great devises. I got my daughters a cyclo ds so that they could have all their games together and not loose the original (one looses everything) and, for that very reason, I was wondering if anyone knew where you could buy just the adapter that goes into the ds. I had originally thought that it was the same size as an sd card - wrong.
Anyway, if anyone knows where you can get just the adapter without buying the whole thing, I'd be greatful. I've looked around a little, but I'm just not sure what is the 'right' size.
Thanks in advance

What adapter are you talking about? If you already have the CycloDS, then all you need is a MicroSD card & you're good to go. If you're looking for a MicroSD to USB adapter, then the CycloDS should have come with one. If not try dealextreme.com (super cheap, slow shipping), Newegg.com or TigerDirect.com.

I am looking for the adapter that the micro sd card goes into that then goes in to the ds itself. Without that it is worthless and I am afraid my younger daughter will loose it plus that way both can play games

i think the R4 team is gone now, so most people on gbatemp.net get newer carts like the Cyclo and the DSTT

I like M3 real. cheap and works great.
Depot888 (http://www.depot888.com/nintendo-adapter-c-53.html) sell adapters for DS. Large order could get discount

I haven't had one complaint about the CycloDS yet! I haven't tried the wireless play, but it says that it supports that functionality, which others don't.
As to the original question, I still don't understand what you're talking about. You said you bought your kids the CycloDS, right? Ok, that should be the white Nintendo DS cartridge that goes into the Nintendo DS. This cartridge will have a little slot at the top in which you can fit a microSD card. That's it. You have the Nintendo DS, the CycloDS cartridge, and the microSD card.

Yes, it is the actual cartridge that the microSD goes into - I would like 2 so that both of my girls can play and (Lord forbid) if my younger daughter should loose it, there is still something to play on.
I have tried the wireless play on a couple of games and it worked beautifully.
Now, here is another question - being that I only had a question, why on earth would someone give me a thumbs down??? I mean really, how could I be so dumb. Sometimes it is a rough crowd here - lol.
Otherwise - thank you so much for your help. I found what I was looking for (I hope) from dealextreme.com --- Thanks Hoot!!!

Can't get CycloDs it at DealExtreme - they sell other DS versions of Flash cards
The cart that the microSd goes into is the actual CycloDs unit - That is really what you're paying for.
www.dealwoot.com or www.realhotstuff.com - its $47.

I'm surprise that there isn't more of a following for the DSTT. It's pretty much the same as the R4 except a lot cheaper. I hooked up a couple of people with these for Christmas. Makes cheapass gifts.

I have a DSTT and it works great for kids. The menu is really simple for them to understand. I think too much hate went around for the DSTT because of all of the fakes that were issued, and since the DSTT team released their "fake-killer" firmware, its really been a big haslle to fix said fakes. Most who find out about the fakes tend to go for an Acekard 2, which is only a few bucks more.

i like it a lot so far. i do like the r4 menu better, but the dstt wins for sdhc support.

I'm planning to get a Cyclo DS soon, along with a FlashPack so I can have enough RAM to go online with it. Any opinions on whether I should or shouldn't?

for cycloDS orders I get mine at dealwoot.com for US orders. Free shipping and you get it in less than a week. And Saint Wacko, do you mean a GBA cart like the EZFlash 3-in-1? That cart will let you play GBA games, give DS rumble, and give you the RAM boost for the internet. Highly recommended

Hope I didn't make a bad choice by going with the R4 Ultra http://www.r4ultra.com/ ? Got it for $10.88 off of dealextreme. I was thinking of getting the M3 or the DSTT too. Maybe I should get them all? I just couldn't see getting the cylclods for $50 when it does practically the same things?

That's exactly what I was talking about. It sounded useful, mainly so I could browse the internet on my DS. Thank you.
