I made this (http://forums.slickdeals.net/t113121.html?&highlight=Recall) post in the Freebie section last week because it included a free replacement. When I saw this (http://forums.slickdeals.net/t113219.html?&highlight=Recall) post this evening, I thought that it maybe nice to have a recall section. It can let members know if something they own isn't safe & being recalled. It could extend as far as car recall notices to even a small kitchen appliances.
Thoughts, suggestions?

Consumers should stop using these Lightsabers immediately, and call Hasbro to get a free repair kit. The repair kit contains instructions on how to install a battery protector. To get this repair kit or for more information, consumers should call Hasbro at 1-800-327-8264 anytime, or fill out this form. Consumers also can write to: Hasbro Lightsaber Repair Program, P.O. Box 200, Pawtucket, RI 02862.

The recall section ought to be over in Freebies where peeps can see it. Maybe it could be a sticky. Usually Recalls involve either: Free repair kits, Free manufactured repairs, refunds, free replacements. Since these thinsg are all FREE.. see what I mean?

I think though it should be it's own sub-forum, like Free Magazines. That way everyone can see it & scroll through it.

I don't think a recall forum is warranted especially since recalls should not be happening everyday. They can be posted in the freebies or lounge at the moment.

I think I'll keep em in freebies for the time being. Thank you!

Kel Be.. How about we have a single recall Sticky Thread just like Cash paying Wesbiste sticky or Neverending Freebies Stivcky?
Me, I don;'t mind each recall offer having it's own noin-sticky thread, but some people like to whine that they aren't true freebies even though in most cases the offer is for a:
Free repair kit
Free mailer to send off for repairs
Free replacement
or Refund
I agree that it is a freebie of sorts and should stay there. Just askin' what ya think of the Sticky idea?

There aren't too many Recalls, but when they happen, we can make our own thread. Thanks for the idea.
