It is normally $650 on Amazon with the 18-55mm lens. It was down to $630 earlier today. It's back up to $640 (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Digital-Camera-18-55mm-3-5-5-6/dp/B0012YA85A/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235458024&sr=8-1)right now. With spring apparently comes the Canon rebate season as well, rumor has it $100 rebate but not sure what price point and what are valid retailers.

I wasn't sure if my friend would be able to (he is a gov't contractor in Iraq) but he was able to log ont the AAFES site and showed me a screen shot of the $750 price.
