You are just spreading FUD.

Those places are as safe as any tourist that goes to NY.

I've been to all of them, and had had no issues whatsoever. I have USA friends that have been on those places also, and no problems.

Your stereotype is as bad as anyone thinking USA is not safe, cause from time to time cops beat people, etc.

You are just saying bulshit, or you are plain ignorant.

Where are you making your information up from? New York City is rated as the Fourth SAFEST city in America (with populations over 500k). Maybe you, or your friends, have been to all of those countries in your list, but what part of those countries? The tourist areas? When you go to a country where the cops tell you not to go out at night alone outside of the hotel district, maybe you should think that it's not the safest country in the world. Yes, I will agree that those four on your list our considered by many to be the safest in South America, but that's not saying much. They are still relatively poor countries, and when you have large amounts of poor people, you have high crime areas. And who gets victimized by criminals in poor countries? Their fellow poor citizens? No, rich (comparatively) foreign tourists. Especially ones that don't speak the language.

My first comment was just a joke, but you seem to have taken it way to seriously. But even though I was joking, it was based on the fact that American tourists have a high risk of crime against them in certain countries. And for you to compare those countries as being just as safe as America makes you the ignorant one. Sure there are extremely dangerous parts of the US (mostly the ones inhabited by the people who come from these dangerous countries btw), but those areas are the exception to the rule. How often do you hear of foreign tourists who come to America that get kidnapped, or murdered, or raped, because they were foreigners? Exactly. So why don't you get off your high horse and think things through. Because if you think that any of your countries are just as safe for Americans as America, then you are the ignorant one.

I have been in cities on most of those countries at 4AM in the morning without issues. Obviously if you go to the "bad neighborhoods", you have more chance of getting rob. Same for any city in USA. Have you ever been on any of those cities?

I can say the same thing for every city on the world. If you don't speak the language, don't know the city, you have more chances of being robed. My mom was robed on Madrid, a beautiful city, my dad was (tried to) robed on NY subway. Another very incredible city.

I don't like "stereotyping" type of jokes. And it really didn't sound like one.

On my last travel to Miami, i was lost and stopped to ask for directions. So luckily that i stopped on a "crime scene" with cops and that. Like on the movies. So, what does that mean? Nothing. Crime is everywhere.

Just to make it clear, i have nothing against USA. On the contrary. I LOVE USA. I have MANY friends, american and not, who live there. In fact I'm going to NY in a month.

Peace.
