I know a lot of you think this never comes, but I can attest that they do. I received one of them a while back. Remember, it's only 200 people, so not a big percentage of the people here will get one, but 200 people will.

So go ahead and thumbs down, but remember that this is a legitimate freebie.

They have this offer like every 2 months but I never get anything from them. ;(

I have gotten a couple things from verisign.
It is not easy to be in the first 200, but it happens from time to time.

I got one not long ago. It's only 200 people, so the chances of getting one are slim, but they DO come to those 200 people.

They prefer you actually own a business that can use their services. Yes, they DO send things out. The first 200 legitimate sign-ups, and no, they do not have to be NEW sign-ups as I have gotten several things from them. They send stuff in the mail, not email, Well you will be contacted via email but it's not spam and they do not send *tons* of anything. SPAM is UNINVITED CONTACT and if you've signed up with them then you have GIVEN THEM PERMISSION to contact you in some way so this is NOT a SPAM site.

As I said, they send these cards with the offers in postal mail... and believe me, they send them to well over 200 people, so by the time any of these show up here the chance of getting in on anything is pretty much slim to none.

I don't know why I continue to waste my time defending VeriSign around here... any of you griping about them won't care anyway... I am sure most of you don't have any kind of legitimate reason to sign up for anything from them and in that case, you deserve what you get, which is nothing. That is no reason to continue to malign the company or the postings here.

Never comes. I have never gotten a free USB Drive from anywhere including Verisign, Microsoft, IBM, and other "reputable" companies.

Not sure why people complain about this, if you dont want junk then make a junk email address through Yahoo or something and use that. When using the internet, you're allowed more than one email address!

I got an actual snail-mail letter today for this through Verisign, so I opened the provided link and added my junk email addy. If its comes fine, if not I'm not going to cry about it. This is my first letter ever from Verisign (must've been from a previous USB drive signup, probably at least a year ago) so I hardly think they're "spamming" me.

I complain because sure you use a fake email to signup for
freebies that may or may not be scams or phishing but do
so giving out their real home address.
I wish more would wake up instead of becoming botnet bait
