I believe the reason that this Laptop stands out more than the rest is it's SDD drive which offers great performance overall in power and system performance. It is great for regular users and definitely would be handy for the more hands-on techs. To put more icing on the cake, I would say that every laptop should have backlit keyboards just as this one. Furthermore, the XP downgrade doesn't make other people think twice about not having problems owning this powerhouse.

It's only one of the sweetest machines ever produced by a PC manufacturer. The backlight keyboard is one of the best features for typing at anytime of the day, and with such a massive resolution you almost don't need a 2nd monitor. This thing is even more powerful than it is sleek - who wouldn't want it?

Me and my associate always recommend using dell products, as they have great customer support and great prices. I have purchased over 20 computers from them this year and have had no issues with any of them. Great products and a great value. My associate actually has one of these Latitude series laptops similarly equipped and it is a very nice professional looking laptop. The back-lit keyboard is bright and very useful for use in dark places. I give this laptop a 5 out of 5 and would love to own one.

Dell laptops are the best! I'm just now looking to replace a 10 year old Inspiron 7000. Not because it doesn't work, but because the limited graphic memory and the processor speed won't run some of the software I need it to run now. Dell laptops are well worth the money.

It's easy to see why the Latitude E6500 beats the competition. It has MORE POWER, as Tim the Tool Man would say! It's like having NASCAR on your desk. The good thing is that you can take it with you wherever you go. Yeah! With this sweet piece of equipment & all it's great features, who needs an office? Just find a nice shady tree to relax under & take care of business in a better way. That's a Dell.

I own a Dell Latitude, albeit one that is about 2 years old now. I have been using it without any problems for work during this entire time. My personal feeling is that Dell builds very nice business class machines. They are powerful enough for most applications, and I run quite a number of high power applications from CAD to MatLab where a dual core (or better) processor really struts its stuff.
The E6500, is in my opionion, one of the nicest laptops that Dell provides the business market. It is more laptop than what a home use would generally need, but for intensive engineering usage (my particular case) it is a machine that can easily replace a workstation and still be portable. I have traveled quite a bit and having the ability to take my computer with me, is important. I particularly like the SSD that has been included in this model. I would recommend one of these machines without reservation.

I currently own a 3-year-old dell Inspiron and could really use the upgrade to this beauty. This laptop beats the competition for me because I work for an engineering company. I constantly deal with cad files, but my current laptop freezes or runs as slow as molasses when opening cad, but with the Quadro NVS video card, I could get my work done on the road!

This system looks like a well-suited business package. With XP Pro, a 9-Cell Battery and 64 Gb Solid State hard drive I'm actually really excited to see this laptop. I regularly have to work in mobile environments that require shutting the system down temporarily to move locations before bringing the system back up, whether it's relocating to a conference room or working in the airport before boarding the plane. The faster startup and shut down of the SSD, the longer battery life and performance of XP make this machine an excellent system to consider in a business environment.

For years I have trusted and depended on Dell computers. I am typing this on my trusted old Dimension 4550 which I ordered from Dell years ago after enjoying my Dell Latitude at work. I have had several Dell laptops at work...they lease them every couple of years. They are always reliable, fast, and never have given me any problems.
This laptop has a COOL backlight on the keyboard. I NEED that. I will use it to check slickdeals.net during the night when I wake up, and use it to watch WootOffs all night long. Now I have to guess where keys are when I wake up in the night to check for deals. This "keyboard has an integrated backlight that is bright and functional. Not only do the keys illuminate, but a white-blue light is visible from the crevices under the keys.... it looks great"--I think I need that!:)
