View Full Version : Focus Pointe Global slow to pay?

I took a Focus Pointe Global phone survey around Feb 5th and still have not received a check in the mail. I have taken surveys from other companies around that same time and already received payment.
Has anyone else had experience with Focus Pointe Global being slow to pay?
I have phoned and emailed the company, but the phone goes to a voicemail and no one calls you back, and the email also goes unanswered.
I will re-consider doing surveys with them if they are this poor at paying and communicating with their study participants.

I have always received payment from them within a 4 week payment which is pretty standard for survey companies. I don't consider this slow.

I just got dq'd for a pt from them. The last Q was if I was involved in any other online focus groups, I was and stated so. Then straight to dq, is this normal practice for all these companies?

I have done a few focus groups for them, and been payed on the spot for the two I did in person, and the third was mailed to me within about a week and a half.. Maybe it is just a fluke thing, I have always had a great experience with them..

My DH really likes them. He has done three focus groups for them, and got paid upfront. With one of the focus groups, he was an extra in case they needed him, and he got paid the amount plus a bonus for just sitting around waiting. With the online surveys he has always received his check pretty quickly.

I also just had a problem with Focus Pointe. I was scheduled to be in a telephone focus group yesterday at 5 p.m. Focus Pointe sent me the confirmation and verified the time and the pay. As this study was paying $ 275, I arranged to leave my job early so I could do it.
5p.m. came and went! No call -no group! I sat by the phone for almost 2 hours & nothing! I called Focus Pointe twice and emailed them and still no one has responded. So, I lost 2 hours pay to go home and sit by my phone that didn't ring.
Prior to this, I had done 2 focus in-person groups for them and was paid on the spot. But I will never let them schedule me another phone interview after this. Totally Unprofessional!:(

The "in person" focus groups seem to pay, but I would not invest any future time doing phone or online surveys with them after being stiffed on this study. I hope others do the same and boycott Focus Pointe.

I did one Feb. 4th with them and just got the check three days ago, so it may be on the way to you right now. Hope you get it soon.

I'm sorry you are still having problems getting your money. I complained about them a few posts back, but they did reschedule the phone survey and the client gave me additional money for dropping the ball on me. I think I did the survey on the 28th & I received the money yesterday.
I don't know if you have done this, but you can log on at www.focusgroup.com/ & check your account with them and there is a place to request that a check be cut.

FPG changed their name here recently, so there may be some reshuffling going on. Also, if I had been in a focus group in the last 3 months I would automatically DQ.

A check I requested on 3/1/09 was received on 3/20/09. So pretty fast to pay, if you ask me.

I did the same study as you and still have not gotten paid. I have sent about 4 emails and I have called and left about 5 messages. I think we will not get paid for this. On their web site I saw this listed but said I got paid 45 days ago.. Not true.

Same for me Diane. I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that got stiffed on this phone study.
