I DID get paid, with an apologetic letter saying that a technical problem had prevented her from seeing that some people had done the survey... presumably connected with how my survey history vanished, and then reappeared after I reported it.
Did your cousin's survey history also vanish?

the study person never even answered her email!
so, no, she never got paid.
her history is there, but I told her what happened to you, and she copy pasted it all into a word doc anyway. I don't why the study admin is being so rude to my cuz, shes a good survey taker, shes been doing it since before it was on Sona. Shes who sent me to join, and shes very legit.
I'll tell her to email again.

I recieved an e-mail saying that I had taken a survey twice (which I did, totally inadvertently b/c it didn't show in my history). Anyway, I told them I didn't expect to get paid twice and that it was an honest mistake. Has this happened to anyone else? They've disabled my account for the time being and I haven't heard back yet. Thanks!

it could have been something like he/she signed up for it, then took it, then forgot if he/she had taken, and re did it, accidentally. I almost did that once.
Still, they shouldn't disable an account for it.

This is a special notice about the study 'Hiring in
Organizations 2' with an online participation deadline of
Friday, August 22, 2008 9:00 AM. The researcher is Caitlin

you have to catch the paying ones quick. they tend to be gone as soon as the heads up gets posted here.
The lottery ones hang around, because none of us want to do them.

I emailed them asking about their compensation and if he knew about any paid surveys in the near future or if they even plan on doing any paid.. this is the response i got.

yeah, i'm sure the non picky people are willing to take the lottery ones. I did win one once, but when you've been around as long as I have ( going on 2 years, I know others have been doing it even longer) you start getting DQed on a lot of surveys, so i really try to only do the paying ones now.

:iagree: :iagree: almost always ...( does that even sound correct ??? that's like almost exactly   almost pregnant   ) anyways ...sometimes when I haven't caught many paid surveys I will venture in to the ones with a high reward...ie...the last one I did was a lottery for winning one of 6 $50.00 GCs ... that was just TOO tempting to pass ( got that yesterday BTW ) Good luck though ..It seems that our little corner of the survey world is getting very crowded making it harder to get surveys like we used to:shake:

yes, it seems far too many people are willing to take lottery or $1 for what used to pay at least $5. Sigh. I miss the good old days when Stanford, and Pinecone didn't suck, lol

I totally agree .... I have noticed our little world becoming VERY crowded for a while now. In the world of optimism ..I do think it will go back down. Folks are desparate. Most will find out that this is really WORK. It's not just a quick buck for nothing. We that have done this for a while know what is involved. I don't think that most people will have our dedication or tenacity.  Pat

The researcher sends them out to your email.
To add them to your account you go to:
1. Amazon.com
2. Click on "Your Account" at the top right.
3. Under "Account Settings" -> "Payment Settings" -> Click on "Apply a Gift Certificate/Card to Your Account"
4. (May have to renter information) Enter your gift card number and click "Redeem Now"
Thats it! And yes, they can stack!

Does anyone else think this is Stanford's direction:
a) from paying $5 surveys
b) to 1-in-50 chance of getting $25
c) to 1-in-5 chance of getting $10
I think (c) is better than (b), though I have never won anything.
I've done about 50 of these lottery studies - you'd think it would be my "turn" one of these days! :P
Maybe my luck will be better with the 1-in-5 surveys?
If only all you winners would give me a chance! ;)

They say, "a 1 in 5 chance of winning a $10 Amazon.com". They don't say how many $10 GCs there are, just that you have a 1 in 5 chance of winning one.
C'mon, Lady Luck!

Actually what peter56 has written is true. Amazon gift cards can only be between $5 and $5000. If you don't believe check the following link and you will see that lower than $5 is not possible.
