You have to register here:

http://sgsb2.sona-systems.com/

Once you are registered, log in and click on "Study Sign-Up". Here, youshould see Survey's that are available for sign up.

Click on the "Study Name". If you are eligible to take the survey you should see "View Time Slots for This Study". Click that, then click on "Sign-Up".

Now you are ready to take the survey. You should be able to click on "Complete Survey Now" or something of the like.

Hope this helped!

RATS!

I NEVER win lotteries!
Since starting, I've done about 75 studies, and I'd estimate that about 50 of those were for lotteries. Not one win. Not one. :crying2:

I just did a little number-crunching.
In the last 9 months (Feb, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October) I have taken 42 studies (according to the website).
I have received 6 gift cards, and lost in 36 lotteries!!!
The total amount in the 6 Gift Certificates was $34.
So, without winning any lotteries, my average for the 42 studies has been 81 cents per study.
Could be worse. I could be getting nothing!!

I'm not a very lucky person, I guess. Since the rewards have been largely been changed over to lotteries I haven't done very well!!

I'm glad for the ones that win multiple times, really. :woot:
Well, maybe one of these days..... RIGHT?? O_o
Aren't we supposed to "spread the wealth around"?? :rofl2:

Social Perceptions Pilot

When you sign up, it says it will take 10-15 minutes and qualifies you for a drawing.

But when you click on "Complete Survey Now", you get a totally different description (it takes an hour and you get college credit).

I emailed Paul, the researcher, and here is his reply:
"i apologize for the confusion. that consent form is in error - the study is online, and only asks that you answer a series of questions. i appreciate your interest in the survey and hope you can participate."

Just thought I'd save someone the trouble of trying to figure the confusion. ;)

recieved a survey in email

Hello,

Thank you for participating in Grand Lotto Study or Grand Lotto Study 2.

If you didn’t win a gift card, don’t fret, the lottery for the gift cards will not be held until later this week.

However, before we hold the drawing for the gift cards, we would like to run a follow-up study called “Time Two Study.”

We are going to hold a lottery for an additional 5 Amazon.com gift certificates for those who complete the “Time Two Study.”

There will be one $100 gift certificate and four $25 gift certificates.

To complete the study, please click on the link below.

I'm not sure about the inactive part - maybe it's no longer open? For false signup prohibited, I think it's when you have taken a survey already and to sign up for another with restrictions, if you already completed one of the restricted studies you get that message. I hope that makes some sense! :)

what does it mean when it says inactive behind the name of the study and also what does it mean when it says false signup prohibited?

Inactive means that study is no longer open and the green OK next to it means you didn't take it. If one says false signup prohibited in red that means you took that survey and therefore are disqualified for this one.

I did two surveys for them and haven't received payment for either one yet. I got points but it doesn't say anything about my payment when I log in.

They always pay...sometimes the study doesn't close and it seems like a LONG wait...also always look for the name of the study listed on the GC...It helps you to keep track

I just received part 2 of the social views study.
Was in my junkmail came from Becky Shaumberg
It was in my spam also ...just found it . Weird that hardly EVER happens

I emailed the researcher for the Cafeteria Study about payment, and received the following response several hours ago:

"Hello, I'll be paying participants later this afternoon. Thanks for participating!"

So, hopefully the payment emails arrive any time now.

I'm getting an "Awaiting action from researcher" for the Media and Learning and Social Views Study surveys on my Credit Information page. So they probably haven't finished evaluating the results yet.
I haven't received payment for the Hiring in Organizations 2 survey.

To my participants,

Thank you so much for completing the study called "Hiring in Organizations 2" using Sona systems for the Stanford Graduate School of Business. These data will be very valuable for me and my faculty advisor.

I just ordered your Amazon.com (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=212450&sdtid=549676&sdfid=39&u2=http://amazon.com/) gift certificates and you should get them soon. However, Amazon.com is sometimes slow sending out the certificates, and I apologize if any delay occurs. If any of you have not received your gift certificates within 24 hours of receiving this email, please let me know and I will contact Amazon to find out what the problem is. You might also want to check your SPAM email folder because Amazon.com emails are often labeled as SPAM by email clients. So we should be getting this payment soon!
