I THINK you have to put in what time slot you are scheduled for:

Example: say the time slot says 5PM PST then you would figure out what time you are at for 5PM PST

I scheduled for 5PM PST so I would be scheduled for 8PM EST. (since i am EST)

There were no drop downs for me - I picked 6pm pst because it was the only one. I did it at 9pm est.

Sorry Julie I'm now seeing this. I just assumed that the time they gave me as the participation deadline was my appointment. So I had 6:00pm PST as my deadline after I signed up for the study so I went on at 9:00 EST. Good luck. You may have to keep trying to log in until your assigned "player" logs in.

Its PST so put in todays date 12/24/2008... Then the slot you signed up for. I am central so I signed up for the 12:00 that means I log in at 2:00 my time. If you are EST that would be 3:00 your time. But you still put in 12:00 because they are PST. Their 12 is my 2.

The Investment Game Study

In this study, you will be playing The Investment Game with one or two other participants (depending on whether there are an odd or even number of participants currently online). This game will give you the opportunity to win money. In order to increase your chances of winning money, it is important that you read the directions very carefully.

I just checked and I was able to log in ok. While at the site I checked the rules about more than one account in the same household. You might want to write them again next week since that could possibly be the problem - not sure though. Good luck on getting it straightened out!

Can members of the same household take studies?

It is not against Behavioral Lab policy for members of the same household to participate in studies. However, we do have a strict policy that participants may only have one participant account and participate in each study only once. It is difficult - given the information we have from participants' study sessions and accounts - to tell whether two different people from the same household took a study or whether one participant violated the policy of duplicate accounts. The lab will inactivate all possible duplicate accounts, which unfortunately may include members of the same household. To prevent this from happening, we recommend that only one member of the household take a study at a particular time. We apologize for this inconvenience. We must have these measures in place in order to collect accurate and honest responses from participants and to ensure high quality research.

I just checked and I was able to log in ok. While at the site I checked the rules about more than one account in the same household. You might want to write them again next week since that could possibly be the problem - not sure though. Good luck on getting it straightened out!

I had a problem like that a few years back ... I wrote and explained that it could not be, that I never had any other account and so on. They were very nice and put my account back into active very quickly. As Carolina said just write to them . They are just doing a clearing of the others that try to cheat. I can't blame them for that. Good luck !!

Yes your correct, AOL is a very different/cautious provider...but ya she will be alright
