:shake::shake:Maybe I'm missing something - why not either scroll to the very top or the very bottom of the thread, then click FIRST page. Right smack at the top is the link. What's the problem? It's not as if every survey has it's own link - you have to log in through the main page anyway.
I'm thinking that if your too lazy for one extra click of the mouse - you probably shouldn't be doing surveys!:nod::nod:

From my limited history with the Amazons through the universities, I've been rewarded anywhere from 5 - 11 days. In addition, one must keep detailed records as to the name of the study, date study done, incentive amount and date paid.
Since I can barely remember five minutes ago, I sure as hell can't remember five days ago. :scratchh: I fall into that category of write everything down!

Dear Participant,
Some time ago you completed the Political Study for the Stanford Graduate School of Business Behavioral Lab. I am writing to tell you that I placed an order for your gift card moments ago and it should arrive in your inbox soon. Just as a heads-up, the gift card will be sent to you directly from Amazon.com. In the past, SPAM filters have blocked these emails so I recommend making sure that your email account is set to receive emails from Amazon.com.
Whereas I don't expect there to be any problems with Amazon.com processing the order, sometimes there are problems when multiple gift cards are ordered at once. If you do not receive your gift card before the weekend, please send me an email and let me know.
Thanks again for your participation!
Best,

just a my 2 cents about the "series" surveys : this is a regular practice in academic research. In this events either the researcher is trying to improve his/her theory by surveying people (survey #1) and updating and surveying people again (survey #2) or they different versions of scenario. In both of the cases if you see one version you'll become uneligiable to answer other versions as your previous knowledge about the survey will make you biased in your answers.
Yes it sucks that we can't get into all paying surveys but this a necessary thing for a researcher. Btw these surveys can go on and on for years.

First they DO look at the original IP unless you always remember to change that they will close ya down...second they look at e addys things that look to identical or going to the same IP they will look at ... third why mess with something that is a real test facility. We really do honor honesty and try to provide real and true answers to these surveys. By cheating and trying to "rake it in" on these companies will not only eventually get you caught and banned from the survey sites it could also get you banned from SD. Look you are a good kid and I actually like ya...you add vim and vigor to stuff that sometimes gets stale... but believe me you'll get plenty more out of SD that is on the UP and UP....there will be many more dividends for you over time than the folks that cheat will get over the very short run that they have... I believe that you will make the right choice and be around for a long time....I like that idea !!!

In addition to what patrossi2004 has said, this is a university web site which means that these surveys are done for academic research. It is not some company with millions of dollars asking do you like our product. Generally in PhD students cases they pay any form of compensation from their pocket.
Also these school studies already have a student base for surveys, they want to add public to the mix to get a better undestanding of the population. But if the cheating becomes alot, they have no problem limiting the respondents to students. After dealing with outsiders who was abusing the system my school switched back to a student only sample and guess what students fill the studies for extra credit points - not money.
I know (and agree) that not getting into every paying study sucks but an occasional $5 is better than no money at all.

In addition why are you broadcasting your intentions of performing fraudulent acts for the world to see. I'm sorry, but this situation is not even funny.

I just got this in my email inbox from Stanford Psych. It amazes me because first I only have one account and second I have only EVER done 2 studies with them..I had to double check my credits because I know I hardly ever ever see studies available to me. Anyhow just wanted to know if this is a general email or am I under suspicion? Here's the email..
Dear participant,
This is a reminder to only complete a survey or study once unless specifically given permission from a researcher. Researchers will only provide compensation for a study once. If you complete the survey duplicate times you can have your account disabled. Multiple submissions negatively impact our data and discourages researchers from conducting online surveys. Thank you for understanding.

so which pay is it?
I'm gonna say $15 because this had happened to me before with a study that was posted as a possible lottery on the sign-up page and after going in to "view the website or complete the study" the page said "$5 Amazon GC reward". Even though this information could have been erroneously posted or intentionally, we are entitled to the higher amount.
If someone disagrees with this theory, please share.

Exactly! As I compared to the one situation I had encountered, page one said lottery and next page said $5. It took me three emails to get my five bucks cuz of the "mis-print" though.
Yes - and it clearly states on the course summary page that it is $15.

Digging deeper indeed!
Here's what's on my My Schedule/Credits right now which is off about ten bucks from last night. The good news is that it only took about seven minutes so I shouldn't :censord2: to terribly much.

Proofread? I was struggling on the introduction page since most of the words were joined at the hip. Anyone else catch that? Not very professional to my liking. :(

ROFL!! ROFL!! ROFL!!....here we go.....LOL just got this in an email.
Hello,
A very kind participant informed me of the typo in the
payment for this study. The study will pay $5 amazon.com
gift certificates, as was indicated in the study description
(it was incorrectly listed as $15 in one place but correctly
listed as $5 in the description). Thanks for informing me of
that!
If this changes your decision to participate, please feel
free to cancel your sign up so that others may participate.
Thanks,
Aneeta Rattan
BTW Julie were you that kind participant?
