The Boston VA is conducting an on-line study of the psychological adjustment to sexual assault. We are looking for women who have had an unwanted sexual experience *in the past month* to complete secure, confidential online surveys once a month for 4 months. The study aims to examine how survivors cope in the immediate months after the event.
- Participants need not come from the Boston area, as long as they have access to the internet.
- The surveys are confidential and take between 20 and 35 minutes to complete.
- Examples of the online questions include asking about your psychological health since the assault, how much emotional support has been available to you, and ways that you have been coping with the event.
- You do not have to answer any questions you do not wish to, and will not be asked to provide your name on the website.
- $20 is provided for each completed survey, totaling $80 for full participation.
